Many people ask me if they should get bucks (male goats) or does (female goats) if they do not want to breed goats. The answer is neither.

Intact bucks p*e on themselves, and they may even p*e on you if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Female goats come into heat about every 21 days if they are not bred. Some does are quiet. Some does scream like the world is coming to an end.

Wethers on the other hand, are cheaper than does, and they are also not hormonal. They don’t p*e on themselves or fight as much as bucks. And they don’t come into heat and scream like female goats.

According to the National Coffee Association, a goat herdsman by the name of Kaldi started to notice his goats becoming very hyper after eating a foreign plant. They had so much energy that the goats had trouble sleeping at night. Kaldi reported his findings to the local monastery where the plant was experimented with and made into a drink. The abbot of the monastery soon began to feel the effects of the new beverage as he was alert and up in the long hours of the night, which benefited his evening prayers. News soon spread of the beverage and after reaching the Arabian Peninsula, it went global.

Nigerian Dwarf Buck Sale

Moving date is quickly approaching and I can't take as many bucks as I have. My loss is your gain. Must be picked up by mid week next week. Some ADGA registered, some unregistered, mostly Dills bloodlines with some Rosasharn lines.
One buck is a grandson to the #1 producer in the US a few years back and Top 10 multiple years.

Edit 7/2/2023 transport from Ingalls Ks to KY or anywhere in between available TODAY! Purebred working Sarplaninatz male looking for a new home with no other intact males. Good with goats and other livestock. He's currently living with my small herd of Nubian goats including a kid from this year. Very sweet boy, I don't often have trained adult dogs looking for jobs elsewhere. Ready to go to work protecting your livestock and farm!

Arrow tangled with a porcupine today. 😨 In all our years at this farm this is the first time one of our dogs has gotten quilled. We pulled some of the quills but it got too painful so I'm taking him in this evening.

Hubs just checked and Paris got quilled as well altho not as badly thankfully!

4*M Urban Acres Pain in the Ace kidded twin bucklings today. One will be retained as a future herdsire, the second is looking for a herd of his own.
