Ace was the dog that made me as a trainer and a handler. At times, Ace made me so frustrated but also gave me so much joy; he was independent yet willing to please; he loved training and competing in weekend tests but most of all he loved to duck hunt. With only a few Grand prep training days left we are focusing more on drill work. Our big weakness is following the gun on wide swings from left to right. What drill do you use to help with this? What other drills do you use in preparation for the Grand?

The HRC Grand starts on Saturday, April 20th in Omaha Georgia. Cuff is my only entry. She has 1 Grand pass and needs 1 more to obtain her Grand Champion title. There are 834 dogs entered this year...we are dog #1. Although I am not superstitious, I won't be posting updates once the Grand starts. OK, maybe a little superstitious, why take a chance on jinxing myself 😅. If you are interested in following the Grand dogs check out the HRC International Grand , fb page.
