One of the biggest things I see in peoples training is rushing the end process. Think of it this way…when baking a cake you take the time to follow the directions. Measuring everything out, carefully mixing all the ingredients, pouring it into the pan and placing it in the oven to bake to get your finished product. What happens if we don’t want to wait to taste the cake and we rush the last step and turn the oven temp up higher? We get a cake that’s burnt on the outside and not cooked in the center. If we finish the last step correctly and patiently wait though we get a cake that is fully cooked in middle, not burnt on the outside that we can truly enjoy. Training horses is the same concept. If after we take the time to do all the other steps correctly then at the end get impatient and rush we end up with a horse that’s not fully cooked in center, burnt, doesn’t have patience himself and we are not going to really enjoy. So take your time don’t rush the process! You don’t want to end up wasting all the other hard work that you have put into making a horse a good one just because you don’t want to wait any longer to enjoy your “cake”! Be patient and you’ll be glad you did and your horse will thank you😁
P.S. If your not much of a “baker” and need help give us a shout we would be glad to help you and your 🐴 reach the end result of being able to fully enjoy the ride ☺️
