When things are push or rushed in training you will most likely loose the ability to establish that solid foundation that a horse needs to be truly successful throughout the entire riding career. Currently have few openings available for training.

If we get greedy when training a horse by wanting more than what they can give, we compromise the process.

Horses learn at their pace.

Throughout the training process, everything is earned through patience and consistency.

You cannot rush training and expect great results.

WARM UP PEN ETIQUETTE

If everyone just uses the Golden Rule—treat others as you would like to be treated—there is no need for further discussion or hard and fast rules.

Keep your eyes open, move over to avoid someone, communicate, and have some grace and humility.

Expect amateur or fearful riders who may not have complete control of their horses at open or youth races—Either stay out of their way, or offer to help!

Expect different warm up routines and the occasional c**t melting down at a futurity—Same solution, stay out of the way or offer to help!

Apologize if a near miss was your fault… and if it wasn’t—Check your ego at the door and move on.

CONFIDENCE & WORK ETHIC

Is it possible to reach true potential without a work ethic?
‌
I thought a lot about this while working horses yesterday. I can not recall a horse that made a big time winner that did not have incredible work ethic. They also had intensity and confidence.
‌
I believe the same is true as humans. Talent will only get you so far. To truly be really successful you must have an incredible work ethic.
‌
I also believe that confidence comes from work ethic. When you put in the effort you know you have earned the rewards. I know when I have worked hard enough to be deserving of the benefits my confidence increases.
