We have heard this question the most!
Are the male Dalmatians mean? NO!!! I am a firm believer in it’s how they are raised. Are they protective of their people? Yes, but aren’t most dogs who are with a loving family? Loyal doesn’t even begin to describe these dogs.
Our male is 3 and has never growled, snapped, or anything at anyone. He is around lots of our kids friends, family members, has never even growled at the delivery people. He may bark at the truck but will greet you with lots of licks 😆 I have a son who plays hard with him! His best quality is that he will go fetch a baseball that’s hit way into the woods😀
I am careful of letting him around our elderly grandparents who don’t have the best balance because he will try and jump into your arms- he believes he is a 7lb lap dog 🤦🏻♀️
