Teaching my dogs to honor or take turns. For advanced field/hunting work, they need to stay while another dog retrieves a bird. This is how I start that skill. Each dog is released by their name for a thrown treat. Rock em Sock em hasn’t done this before and needed some extra reassurance that she should get up on her name. This is also how I teach my dogs to wait their turns for any training. The key is really that the waiting dogs get rewarded as much as the working dog does.
