On May 9, our Humane Law Enforcement team was asked to assist in the seizure of 30 large and extra-large dogs from a residential home. At 2:30 am, our team finally finished setting these dogs up at the shelter so they would have a safe and clean place to sleep.

You can help.

✨ We now have a dog adoption special for our available dogs through June 1. All dogs 6 months and older will have 50% off of their adoption fees. See who is available now: mohawkhumane.org/adopt/available

✨ Foster. We are always looking for fosters. Many of the dogs who are looking for fosters would prefer to be solitary pets or live separately from other animals or children. If you would like more information on fostering, please check out our website: mohawkhumane.org/fostering

Each year, National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on April 30th raises awareness for thousands of pets that are waiting for (and needing) adoption from the shelters. King is still looking for a home since July 2022.

loving, sweet devotion

when I look past over the years and realize how much I`ve learned from the devotion and tender love that my dogs have taught me......it blows my mind. I believe with all my heart that the treasures we love on this Earth are in the form of fur kiddos. The more time I`ve spent learning through my studies and hands on training with my canines , the more I want to share the love and passion in my heart for the care they need. My life is enriched because of them. Past (yes, I have loved & lost), present, and future...…….I love animals. My concentration is on always wanting to see what they can teach me next!

my GSD “Abby” has brought me so far! from ABC puppy class to CGC to some therapy work at Saratoga Bridges, to mild rally for fun, to scent competition...……...she confirmed within my heart and mind, THAT I CAN EXCEL AT TEACHING DOGS......BUT FIRST, THEY TEACH ME...….

yes, I do love cats!!! My hubby has allergic reactions terribly, so I must love them from pet sitting.
