Did you know….
Ticks use the mouth parts to “smell” carbon dioxide and when then detect high enough levels they know they are on a breathing animal and then the attach for a blood meal! Pets have warmer body temps and pant more and brush up against bushes/tall grass making them a favorite mammal for a tick to attach to!
