Hi! Thanks for stopping by. This is the story of our accidental rescue and how we got started.
A few wewks ago a lady in my neighborhood posted that she had kittens under her car and needed help. She had already collected them when we got there but she couldn't keep them. I told her I'd take them and get them to a rescue and that I used to foster kittens. After calling around all day long to different rescues I learned they are all full and desperately needing help too. The shelters were full as well. This is where our story began.
There are 5 kittens in that litter. There are 2 yellow males, a grey tabby male, a black female and a tortie female. I took them to the vet to get them evaluated and get approximate ages on them. They were healthy and about 5 weeks old. They all needed names to get entered into the computer at the vet. They became Cream, Honey, Biscuits, Robin and Speckles. We were hooked on finding them homes and loving them until they find their Fur-ever homes.
Next, a few days later, another person in my neighborhood posted that she found a momma and her kittens in her garage. Since they were a few houses away from where the original 5 were found I thought this could be the momma and siblings to them. They came to stay with us too. The momma, 2 males and 2 females. The momma, a tortie, became Luna, the grey females became Stormy and Macy, the grey male became Squirrel and the black male became Bob Ross.
Later that same night a friend said another lady found 2 kittens in a box at her house. At this point what's 2 more right?! The orange and white females became Butters and the black and white male became Panda.
Luna and her babies all needed some medical attention. They had pretty bad diarrhea and goopy eyes. I loaded up all of the babies and we went to the vet. All kitties got their first round of shots, dewormer, and eye meds for Luna's litter.
Last, but not least, came our little Hope. She was found in a car engine. She was scared to death and pretty feral. She's opened up and has turned into a really sweet solid grey girl.
My goal is to get these guys all spayed and/or neutered and off to their new homes where they can live their best lives. I've only started writing pages in their books. They all have spay/neuter appointments in August. At that point they can get adopted to their fur-ever families that will continue writing their story.
Many people have offered to help and asked how they can. I'm including my venmo to help with their daily cost of food and litter, vet bills, and spay/neuters. My venmo link is below if anyone wishes to help.
