Her foster says, "She is so well behaved. She allowed me to trim her feet and nails with no problem. She loves walks with little to no leash pulling and she even plays fetch. Mannerisms of a golden for sure! She is loyal, playful, and loving. She really enjoys room to run and play. Also, we have 4 cats and she is fine with roommates! 🐾 Meet Zoey – Your Perfect Pup! 🐾

What can we say about sweet Zoey, other than she’s absolutely PERFECT? 💕 This golden-hearted girl will be 2 years old in July and still has all the playful charm of a puppy. She’s a happy-go-lucky snuggler who truly believes she’s still lap-sized—and we’re not about to tell her otherwise! 🥰

Zoey LOVES her evening walks and walks nicely on leash… unless she spots children or another dog—then she just has to say hello! She’d thrive in a home with a doggy playmate her size and plenty of opportunities to socialize.

✅ No crate needed – she’s trustworthy for 7+ hours
✅ No jumping on furniture or counter surfing
✅ Mealtime manners – quietly waits without begging

She’s gentle, affectionate, and has all the best qualities of a golden retriever. One of her sweetest habits? Keeping watch over her senior corgi foster sibling. 🐶💛

Volunteer with Goldens 901 and Help Us Save Amazing Goldens!

Our rescue is overflowing with sweet pups in need—and we can’t do it alone. We’re looking for big-hearted volunteers to help with:
🛁 Bathing dogs
🚗 Transporting dogs to vet appointments or adoption events
🏡 Providing short-term/vacation foster homes
💻 Helping spread the word
💛 These are some of our biggest needs, but if you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to hear about your strengths and where your passion lies! Whether you have one hour or ten, your time makes a huge difference.

Meet June🤍

Her foster says this:
“June is a classic golden—affectionate, eager to please, and always up for a game of fetch. She’s friendly but mellow, with a gentle temperament that shines through even in a busy home. She’s been calm and unfazed around other dogs and a toddler, showing great tolerance (even during toddler tantrums!). She is the type of dog that likes to be near her people, often following any family member that leaves the room to see what they’re up to - and if it includes a treat for her!

She greets new people, including vet staff and home visitors, with happy tail wags, striking a sweet balance between outgoing and laid-back. On leash, she walks well with only occasional, friendly pulling when she wants to say hello to other dogs or is following an exciting scent. She is prey driven and enjoys chasing after birds and squirrels in her foster home backyard.

June appears to be mostly potty trained and is learning her routine quickly. She will be fully potty trained with continued structure and support. She sleeps through the night peacefully and has handled summer thunder storms with no signs of fear. She’s food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement—a treat for every outdoor potty success!”

New orphan Cooper 🐾

“Cooper is sure to be any family’s best friend! He loves rotisserie chicken, laying with his belly on the cold floor, and playing with other dog friends. He is great with kids, families, dogs and cats. He doesn’t get on the couch or bed without asking first, and knows “come here” and “sit.” He is also housebroken.”

Daisey is approximately 18 months old and as lovely in temperament as she is in looks. 💛

🏡 Daisey spent a few hours with us before her vet appointment, and we quickly learned what a sweetheart she is. At 64 lbs, she’s the perfect size—and such a smart, gentle girl! She’s learning fast (already figured out how to load into the crate on her own!) and takes treats ever so politely. She did arrive with some yeast ear infections, which we’re treating.

She does have a bit of separation anxiety—understandable after all she’s been through—but she’s adjusting well and even met her foster sibling with excitement and ease. After a good romp in the backyard, she explored the house and settled into her crate like a champ.

✨ Daisey is ready for her next chapter. She will make a fabulous, loyal companion for someone who has a little patience and a lot of love to give.

🐾 Meet Riley 🐾
Riley is ready to start the next chapter of her life! 💛

This sweet, gentle girl lived her first years as breeding dog, with little exposure to the outside world. As a result, Riley is very shy and still learning how to navigate life as a beloved companion. But beneath that timid exterior is the softest heart—she absolutely loves pets and gentle attention.

We’re currently working on her house training and helping her build confidence in new situations. She’s also putting on some much-needed weight—right now, she’s just about 43 lbs and quite petite.

Riley is good with cats and would do best in a calm home with older kids who can respect her need for patience and space. She’s not ready for the spotlight yet, but she’s learning what it means to feel safe, and every day she grows a little braver.

If you’re the kind of person who sees beauty in the quiet souls, Riley just might be your girl. 💕

🌟 Adoptable Dog: Chloe 🌟
🐾 8 Years Old | Female | 53 lbs | Golden

Meet Chloe, a gentle soul with a heart full of love and a story that’s ready for a new chapter. 💛

Chloe is incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate. She’s housebroken, dog-friendly, and absolutely adores children. She’s the kind of dog who squints lovingly when you pet her (we call her a “squinter” 😍), welcomes belly rubs, and has no food or toy aggression. She even lets the kids take bones right out of her mouth!

She’s currently adjusting beautifully to indoor life with her foster family—snuggling up at night with their daughter and making friends with their resident pup. Chloe is enjoying soft beds, air conditioning, and all the love. She’s even tolerating basic grooming and crate time like a champ!

🩺 Medical Notes:
She will be a soayed soon and the treated for heartworms, so this will take some time as she will likely be in foster care until treatment is completed. Despite everything, she has remained patient, gentle, and trusting throughout her vet visits.

🎓 Chloe walks decently on a leash, though she might try a little counter surfing if given the chance—but she responds well to correction and is eager to please.

Jackie - This sweet girl is making wonderful strides every day. She’s learning to trust, finding comfort in routines, and discovering the joy of companionship. While she may still need a little encouragement entering her kennel, her progress is inspiring—and she’s now relaxing more in the bedroom when left alone for short periods.

Her foster mom says this - She’s begun bonding beautifully with my daughter, and it’s heartwarming to see her start to relax around my sons, especially in the car. With patience, time, and a gentle hand, she’s showing just how much love she has to give.

Jackie would thrive best in a calm, nurturing home—ideally with a single woman who can offer her consistency, affection, and understanding. She’s not aggressive—just cautious. But with each passing day, she opens up a little more, revealing her sweet, loyal heart.

Willow is a beautiful 5-year-old, AKC-registered sweetheart who’s ready to find her forever home. Weighing in at a healthy 64 pounds, she’s in great shape with a shiny, healthy coat and bright white teeth.

Willow has been raised on acreage and is comfortable around livestock, children, and plenty of open space. She’s incredibly sweet-natured, though she’s not a fan of thunderstorms and has a quirky habit of staring at reflective surfaces.
