Meet Oso 🐾
Oso (“bear” in Spanish) is an approximately 2-year-old Golden weighing in at 86 pounds. He came to us as a farm dog, where he lived outside. Learning to eat from a bowl has been one of his biggest milestones—and now he eagerly sits and waits for every meal!

Oso is one of the sweetest, most compliant foster dogs we’ve had the joy of working with. Before starting heartworm treatment, he loved romping outside with our dogs and even got the zoomies! Indoors, he’s a low-energy boy who has never jumped up on anyone. He loves people, gets along with all dogs, and enjoys gentle attention without being pushy.

Some of Oso’s favorite things:
✨ Treats (he learned that word quickly!)
✨ Crate time—he goes right in when asked
✨ Being brushed and pampered at the groomer
✨ Occasional playtime with toys he’s just discovering

Oso still has two heartworm injections left and will be ready for adoption after November 22nd. This sweet bear of a boy is ready to find his forever family who will give him the love and care he deserves. 💛

Today we pause to honor the Goldens who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Though their paws no longer walk beside us, their love leaves pawprints on our hearts forever.

At Goldens 901, we know every goodbye is wrapped in both heartbreak and gratitude — heartbreak for the loss, and gratitude for the unconditional love they gave so freely.

To those who’ve loved and lost, we see you. We remember with you. And we celebrate the tails that wag forever in our memories. 🐾✨

Check out the sweetest update below. We are thrilled to hear that (Bunny/Gracie) is doing so well 🤍

“On August 1, 2025, we celebrated one year with Gracie ("Bunny" when Goldens901 had her up for adoption). It's been really nice to have a dog in the house again. Gracie is very cheerful and friendly, and she's also really athletic. She fetches a tennis ball for a few minutes every morning and most evenings (short sessions during the warmer months). She also likes to catch a soft Chuckit, but tennis balls are number 1 with her. She knows where the tennis balls are kept and grabs one as soon as she gets outside. She goes on walks with us just about every morning and evening and she has a great time exploring the neighborhood (the only exceptions being when we have either thunderstorms or fireworks - she did not enjoy the 4th of July, alas).

She had a fantastic time in the snow back in January. She loved running around in the back yard and catching her soft Chuckit.

She gets very excited to meet new people, and she's even made friends with our cat. We introduced them to each other slowly and carefully over the first few weeks, and it's all good between them. She also seems pretty smart. She has a little stuffed elephant as a toy, and she likes to bring it to us and show it to us sometimes, and also to new people when they come over. If we ask her where her elephant is, she will usually go and find it and show it to us.

She's a very sweet girl.”

🌸 Welcome Ellen! 🌸

Ellen is a joyful, clever girl who’s made herself right at home. From day one, she jumped right into playtime with her two foster dog siblings and has taken a curious, friendly interest in the cat—following them around like a little buddy. 🐾😄

She’s also brilliant. How smart? Well…
🐕 She once jumped up, grabbed her leash off the counter, and brought it to her foster to let them know she was ready for a walk!
💧Another time, she carried an empty water bowl into the den and dropped it at their feet—even though there were two full ones nearby. She knew exactly what she wanted. 😂👏

She came with a pile of toys and happily shares them. She’s kennel trained, housebroken, and does great on a leash (just a little fine-tuning needed). She lights up when her people wake up in the morning or come home from work—tail wagging, heart full. 💛

Her foster says:

“We’ve definitely enjoyed having her here.”

And we can absolutely see why. Ellie is smart, sweet, and so ready to love and be loved.
