I'm thinking we should of applied for the monkey building permit last year. The blueprints that were supposed to take 3 to 5 days, took 9 weeks because they have never had to draw an elevated structure. Building permits have had them a couple months and just asked for payment could we be getting close?? I guess one good thing is the price of lumber is coming down. Geez, what a pain in the ass. Hubby doesn't mind the heat but my son that's helping him does. Working right through the blazing hot summer, NOT FUN.

I think a lot of people are confused how close the light has to be for marms and tams to benefit from them. Here are a few pics. I have seen many people have the wrong light, no light at all or the proper light (160 watt mercury v***r bulb for reptiles) but it's so far away or not positioned correctly so they aren't getting any benefit from it. As you can see it needs to be close, but they also need something to sit or lay on so they don't have to hang on the side of the cage.

monkey wonderland bowls for am feeding. The bags are for the species that get a second round at 4pm. Some species get other items for their afternoon meal. No wonder they are crazy healthy! ❤️

11 Lemurs on a plane! From the failed Zoo on Puerto Rico all the way to Kona. This has been by far the most complex rescue ever for Three Ring Ranch. These cuties are part of over 550 animals airlifted out to new forever homes with accreditation sanctuaries and zoos. Many more photos to come tomorrow when the are released into new habitats. For tonight it is peace and quiet, a yummy meal and rest where they can see each other. Many thanks to the huge team that made this happen.
