Mr Grumpy Amigo of the Three Amigos has decided he wants to be a lap dog lately. When this old boy first got here, picking him up was not allowed by him, or brushing him, or anything that meant handling him much, and he would not budge on that. He just wanted to hang out with his 2 Amigos and sleep at the foot of my bed.

Now that his advanced age is keeping him from getting on and off things, he has decided he needs our help and allows it. He wants to be in a lap all the time now, too. He still has a lot of his "grumpy rules" for us but has gotten so much better about interacting with us. This old boy is at least 12 to 13 yrs old.

The Three Amigos have such different personalities and exist as one and are never out of each other's sight.

Old man, Buddy Love needs lots of well wishes and fingers and toes crossed for him today. He is not himself this week, isn't eating well, and has lost a visible amount of weight since last weekend. He is seeing Dr. Morse today to find out what is going on. With his mast cell cancer history, we are worried for this old boy.

Buddy Needs A New Home! His whole world just turned upside down, and he needs a patient person to help him adjust to this new big scarey life change. Buddy was adopted from us in Nov 2018 to a home with no children when he was approx 1 yr old. Buddy had to be returned this week because there are now 2 toddlers in the home, and they were just too much for him. There is alot of activity now and they make him nervous and scared, and he snaps at them. He is miserable living with all the activity and chaos that 2 loud toddlers now bring to his life. They have been keeping them separate the past 5 years and trying everything to make it work, but the kids are getting older and it is just too hard to try to keep them all separate or supervised at all times and everyone get what they need. This was a very hard decision for his family.

Buddy is so very sweet but shy and timid when meeting new people. He has a typical chihuahua personality. Once he gets to know you, he is all about being a lap baby all day long. He loves to sleep right next to you in the bed and loves to be right with you all the time.

He is intimidated by new dogs at first, but as soon as he knows they won't hurt
him, he is fine. He is scared of dogs bigger than him and prefers dogs his size. He loves to be held. He likes to lay in a little dog bed on his foster mom's desk while she works.

A calm household would be perfect for him. He did live with a calm medium sized dog in past. We just can't say the word "sweet" enough times to describe this handsome boy. If you are looking for a very sweet and affectionate lap dog that will worship you and be your constant companion...this is the one.

He is a long haired chihuahua, 8 yrs old as of Feb 12, 2025, and approx 9 lbs . Buddy is neutered, current on vaccines and heartworm prevention, heartworm negative, microchipped, kennel trained, and housebroken, walks on a leash, and always rode in his mom's lap in car. A fenced in yard is required for Buddy.
