House Update!
Well all of the side rafters are in. Now onto the middle ones! Thank you to my hubby for all the hard work!

House Update!
We have been busy the last few weeks. Perfect weather! We got all the beams hung, including the main center beam. Next will be the rafters. The middle section will have almost 11 ft walls and then go up to around 14 feet with it all being an open ceiling. The 2 sides (or lien to's) will be bedrooms and bath, laundry and pantry. Those will have 10 ft walls sloping to 8 ft.
Terry Johnson did this all by himself. Sometimes he amazes me as to what he can do! More to come!

Update on the House Build!
Well we finally got the floor down! The heat has been rough on us and lots of other things going on, but we did it this week. One step further along in this slow but satisfying process! Thanks Terry for all your hard work!

Well...we are getting ready like most people for the cold weather coming in. Generator ready, water lines wrapped, horses hayed and camper cozied up!

!!!Sunday Walk!!!
We walked down to Loftis Creek that runs beside our place. Look at this tree we found and the water! None of the pictures have filters on them. Just a beautiful day in God's country! 😍

We took a walk around the property before the cooler weather comes in. Never showed you our pond before. We hope to dig it out to be bigger and stock it sometime next year.
We check all the game cameras that we keep up as we went. We have been wondering what's keeping the horses on edge at night. I think we know why now!

Terry is training one of his newer roping horses today in the arena. He's doing some ground work with him to learn how to follow cattle and get him close so he can rope. Follow along as he trains "Bodie".

Moving to Arkansas has been a dream come true. We have had a few setbacks to get us here and even more after arrival but we keep on keeping on!
Terry injured his finger a few weeks back on the sawmill but he has heeled up nicely and started back this week on cutting lumber.
We do plan on building a cabin which is his reason for sawing.
My job is to plan it all out lol!
So here's my dream board of what I want for the house.
Simple and functional and mostly all done by us!
So get ready to follow along! I'll try to document our progress here! We hope to start the process next month!
