Yesterday, Duke headed back home after his 3-week staycation with us. Being his home away from home has been such a treat this summer and itβs always a little bittersweet when our time together wraps up but we know heβs thrilled to be back with his favorite people!
Thank you, Mira & Theo, for trusting us with Duke these past three weeks. We canβt wait to welcome him back for more fun and love next time!

Meet Bartleby the four month old brindle English mastiff! What a pleasure itβs been getting to know his gentle, fun-loving personality this past weekend. He had a blast frolicking around in the fields, making new dog friends, participating in mental stimulation games, napping near friends and all the belly rubs he asked for!

Husky vibes this past weekend with River & Aspen!! ππ We couldnβt get enough of their big personalities. From long walks and shop zoomies to couch cuddles and pup dreams, there was never a dull moment with these two sweethearts.

Did you know that seedless watermelon is a safe and delicious treat to share with your dog this summer?! πΎππΆ
Like with any treat, watermelon should be given in small moderations but they are jammed full of wonder nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B6, C as well as potassium. Plus, itβs 92% water and a great way to hydrate on a hot day!
Before feeding watermelon to your dog, itβs a good idea to remove any seeds and either remove the rind or hand feed the piece attached to the rind to ensure your dog does not eat the rind itself. Seeds and rinds could cause a possible intestinal blockage or gastrointestinal upset if your dog consumes them.

Planting season is officially here but the weather was a little uncooperative today for field work. πΎ
However, there was still work to be done and we are so grateful for the many opportunities to include our boarders in our everyday life and farm tasks. ππ
Sweet Envey loved relaxing about in the shop with us while my husband worked on the planter. She also enjoyed taking a quick gator ride to the next piece of equipment needing to be checked over. π₯°πΎ
Sweet Luna rates her farm staycation 11/10 stars for yummy treats, fun games, fantastic field zoomies, new best friends, little people to love on and all the snuggles she could ask for. π₯°ππΎ

Afternoon game of frisbee in the field with Miss Eleanor. Iβm wowed by how on point her catch and fetch is. She can get some serious height in her jumps. So much fun for both of us!! ππΎ β’ β’ β’ Iβm curious, if your dog loves to play fetch, do they prefer fetch with a frisbee or with a ball?
Eat. Sleep. Fetch. Repeat. πΎ (And some other fun stuff of course π€ͺ) β’ β’ β’ We may not have a fenced in yard but our farm shop is a great, safely enclosed space for long or short games of fetch! π₯° β’ β’ β’ For pups without great recall, we love using our 50ft lead-lines for fun outdoor playtime. However, those are more fun for sniffing around and explorations. Fetch is way more fun in the farm shop. Pups are able to run after the ball for longer distances!
Outside explorations are always fun! We arenβt letting the mud and gloomy sky stop us. Put on your boots and letβs go! π₯°πΎ β’ β’ β’ Note: Only pups with great recall are allowed to enjoy these offlead adventures around the farm. This is why you see Molly on a 60ft lead line sniffing around and Jenna offlead. Molly is still in training while Jenna has excellent recall β¨
Happy Wednesday from Ike!! Today, Ike thinks Michigan is presenting some pretty nice weather outside but Iβd have to disagree with him. I think it should be warmer outside and maybe a little sunnier.
