Since our lab passed 10 years ago, I have opened my home and heart to caring for other pups. I am a stay at home mom, to two school aged kiddos, so your pup will get full time fun/play/love and full run of the house all day long! Please contact me so we can talk further and set up a meet and greet before your over night stay, long weekend, or extended vacation.

Keep your babies inside and safe! If yours have anxiety turn on fans, tv, sound machine and gives lots of love.
This right here is a smart plan to do, just in case!

Someone passed this onto us and we thought it was a great idea to share.
With the 4th of July right around the corner we tend to get several calls about dogs getting out, and owners frantically trying to find them. We ask that you make sure your dogs have their collars on, updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below !
We can not scan for microchips. We do not have a scanner, and if the vets offices are closed, we will have to transport any found dogs that are unclaimed to Lake County Dog Shelter.
We love our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe! 🐾💕

Coming Up! Hazardous waste - Special Collections: June 1st and September 21st at the Lake County Fairgrounds (1301 Mentor Ave., Painesville Twp.) at 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Did you know it only takes a quart of motor oil from your car to make an oil slick many acres in size? Anything rinsed from a garage floor or driveway, or dump down a storm drain will flow to Lake Erie untreated and can be harmful to the aquatic life that lives there. To prevent that rainbow sheen in the creek near your house, always properly dispose of used motor oil, never dump oil in a storm drain, and fix any leaks on your car. Also, use absorbents like rags or kitty litter to soak up any leaks and spills before the rain carries it away. Check with our area auto part stores to accept your used motor oil for disposal. Other chemicals like left-over solvents, pesticides, and paints can be taken to the Lake County Fairgrounds in June 1st and September 21st during the 2024 Lake County Solid Waste District Special Collection Event.

High pollen, eyes itchy and watering?Please don’t assume your human drops are usable on your pup. Call vet first. Popular eyedrops for itchiness and redness often contain an ingredient called Tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, which narrows blood vessels in the eye. This ingredient is not recommended for animals as it may cause them harm, especially if ingested.

Our South Florida vet team teaches some basic information on eye infections in dogs and why you shouldn't use human eye drops on them.

During the solar eclipse please leave your pets indoors! Not only can the sun damage their eyes, the abrupt change in light can scare some animals.

If you lost your dog, we are open 10a-3pm.

It was lovely to see you break loose and play Miller!

This is certainly something we all need to be aware of and stay informed on! It just takes one pup to transport it in. They still are not sure how it is contracted. As always, if your pup is showing signs of illness, they need to get a note from their vet stating that they are not contagious and able to play. This mysterious illness has symptoms that include a persistent cough, fever, runny nose, lethargy, and a loss of appetite.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!! Sadie, what can I say… your humans shared you with us as a wee baby of 12 weeks old? We had just lost our dear fiancé Joe a few days before and then Covid hit 2 months later. Oh sweetie, seeing your sweet smile pulling in the drive every day and receiving the big love you give, helped heal our hearts and bring us joy. You helped us through Covid with your entertaining antics, big lap snuggles, continuous excitement to play, humorous zoom school appearances and toots and many bark interruptions, let’s not forget the big wet smooches. Once life got back to normal and furriends started to return, you immediately became their besties too! Look at all the joy you bring to them! No matter if wee or tall, blind or deaf … you my dear, love them all, with your gentle soul, playful spirit and kind heart. We are so blessed everyday to have you in our world. Thank you Mike and Peggy for sharing your baby with us, and for all the love and support and joy we have shared together through the years. Happy 4th Birthday Sadie! We love you all!

Lucy is PERFECT in every way! She gets along with all animals and humans! She is 3. Her parents are a goldendoodle and shepadoodle. Utd on all shots. She is neutered and loves to play and snuggle with humans and all furriends. Let me know if you’d like to meet her. Her family work schedule has changed, they know she deserves more than being home alone…
