The word "Enrichment" is frequently brought up in our environment, but what does enrichment really mean and why is it beneficial for your dog?
Enrichment is defined as the act of improving the quality of something by adding something else. In other parts of our life we see enrichment in ways like the addition of vitamins to food - improving the nutritional benefits, or educational enrichment programs - improving the knowledge of children! Dogs are just the same, canine enrichment provides beneficial elements to your dog that improves their quality of life! Providing dogs with enrichment gives them another energy outlet, mental and physical stimulation, and control over their own environment, ultimately lowering stress and reinforcing socialization practices. For added 1-on-1 Enrichment time for your pup - speak with a staff member today!
