❌❌PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌😡

there is a fake website that stole all of my photos and is claiming to be me. They have you fill out information and send an email and they are claiming to have puppies available. Please do not send money to these people!!!

❌❌❌THIS IS NOT ME!! ❌❌

I would never take or ask for a deposit for any puppies unless I have actually talk to you extensively over the phone or in person !!!
If you have given a deposit to these people, please report them to your local state police . I have talked to my local state police and they said they cannot do anything unfortunately until somebody is scammed out of money …then it turns into fraud! This is being reported to the FTC as well!!

Please research your breeder before buying!!!

Let's Talk About Structure

with Narelle Hammond

The Stifle

Understanding the unique characteristics of different dog breeds is essential for both breeders and judges.

While it is important to know what a specific breed was originally bred for, it is equally important to recognize that each dog is an individual with its own strengths and weaknesses. Some dogs may not perfectly fit the breed standard set for their breed, and that is perfectly okay. What matters most is understanding and appreciating the abilities and limitations of our own dogs based on their individual structure.

One key aspect to consider when evaluating a dog's physical structure is the stifle joint, which is equivalent to a human's knee. This joint plays a crucial role in a dog's mobility and overall health. In the context of dog anatomy, a "well-turned" stifle is considered ideal, as it allows for smooth movement and proper alignment of the leg. On the other hand, a "straight" stifle may indicate certain structural issues that could impact the dog's movement and overall well-being.

The conformation of a dog's stifle plays a crucial role in its ability to move efficiently and effectively. Well-turned stifles are essential for providing flexibility to the leg, which is particularly important for breeds like Greyhounds that rely on speed. In the case of Greyhounds, having well-turned stifles allows them to run with agility and grace, enabling them to reach impressive speeds. This anatomical feature is a key component in the breed's ability to excel in activities such as racing and coursing.

On the other hand, not all dog breeds require well-turned stifles to perform their specific tasks. For example, Chow Chows are not known for activities that involve high-speed running, jumping, or navigating through challenging terrains. As a result, Chow Chows do not require well-turned stifles and an important hallmark of the breed is to have straight stifles.

When assessing a dog's conformation, it is important to consider the relationship between the length of the rear pastern and the overall structure of the hindquarters. A dog with a well-turned stifle should have a rear pastern that is relatively short, ideally no more than one-third of the dog's height.

If the rear pastern is longer than ideal, it can impact the alignment of the first and second thigh, pelvis, croup, and tail. This can result in an upward direction of these body parts, affecting the overall balance and movement of the dog. The backward motion is also impacted, resulting in a rotary movement in which the rear pastern moves upward and forward rather than moving back correctly. This can lead to issues with the animal's gait and overall movement.

Straight stifles are a common occurrence in many breeds due to genetic factors and breeding practices. Some breed standards may inadvertently encourage straight stifles, leading to their prevalence in certain breeds.

Additionally, certain conformation traits may contribute to the development of straight stifles, making them a common issue across various breeds. Breeders need to be aware of this issue and work towards breeding and selecting for correct stifle conformation to help reduce the prevalence of straight stifles in the future.

Why do you believe that straight stifles so common across many breeds?
