this is usually serious stuff requiring vet care. I have never had a dog tangle with one but , keeping dogs safely fenced in is something I have always done from day one. Growing up in Chicago, most all dog owners had a fenced yard , and all dog walkers kept dogs leashed . Cops would stop you if you did not .Once we moved out to the sticks was never ever a question if we would fence dogs in. I feel fencing mine in is the reason my dogs have avoided a lot of wildlife issues.

You can get porcupine quills out of a dog at home with needle nosed pliers, but only if it's a few quills. More requires a vet's attention

RABIES - CAN YOU LAY HANDS ON RABIES CERTIFICATES FOR ALL YOUR DOGS RIGHT THIS SECOND ? If not - you need to correct this . If they come to your door about a possible dog bite - even a small scratch can bring them down on your head , and if you cannot immediately provide proof that your dogs rabies is current, you may be in for a sad sad situation for your dog - and a very costly one for you. Rabies law in WI for an adult dog is every 3 years. ADVOCATE FOR YOUR OWN DOGs - CANNOT FIND MY PAPERWORK WILL NOT GO OVER IF THE SHERRIFF/HEALTH DEPT IS AT YOUR DOOR. In the blink of an eye , your life will change.
