A Good Samaritan contacted us Monday to see if we were able to help a 3 year old German Shepherd who was tied to a pole and has been for around a year. The caring person was worried about the temperatures that were going to drop to the teens and with the windchill, we were all concerned. December is giving us all the warm feelings!!!! Zeus our longest boarded resident has left the building!!! He will be loved until someone adopts him by this wonderful and committed family! Zeus is estimated between 2-3 and lived the first year of his life on a chain outside. He has lived another 8 months in shelter and now it’s his time to shine!! So grateful for our fosters!!!! We’re not crying 😭, you are!😭😭😭

Hank is a Corradino now!!! Their foster family made it official!!! He is now a part of their family!!! Our hearts are elated for Hank and his new family! ❤️❤️❤️ Hank came to us as an Illinois stray who was found asking for help in the parking lot of a grocery store and was never claimed! Hank needed a way to escape the over capacity Chicago kill shelters. Big Dogs Don’t Cry said yes and the rest is history! We absolutely love his foster family and it was a match made in heaven! He loves his brother Chonk and the kitties in the home. 🏠. Hank makes number 4 large dog Adoption this month and we met our goal for Christmas! 🎄 Who else is ready to adopt or foster???
