His story isn't over yet!
Paloma the neurological mom is going to Kierland animal hospital today and so is Michi. Michi was feral from that trailer park and had his TNR neuter on the 5th but since he came home he wont eat or drink ( so we give subq fluids and syringe feed) and he foams at the mouth without any signs of mouth sores or bad teeth. He has periods of lethargy and vomiting bile. He's become sweet though with postures for tummy rubs. We want to save Michi. If you'd like to help, you can call payments over to Kierland Animal hospital under cat's action team for either Paloma or Michi. Or donate on the website. The GoFundMe has still not paid out with verifying a new linked bank account being much more tedious than we thought. The quickest way to get this done is either donating on our website or calling payments directly to the veterinarian.

Donations Can be used for your taxes as charitable donations.
When someone is generous enough to donate to our website, it is helpful if in the comments you can state what it is you are donating for. For example, if it is for tnr, please state that, or if it is for a particular cat, then write the kitty's name. If it is to support us going up and down from Yuma and gathering up these cats and working them into rescues and taking care of them generally then please say Yuma cats. This way we know what to do with what donation. I appreciate every one of you that does donate and that supports us and the work we're doing.
There have been donations through the website recently and we are so grateful. We just want to make sure they're going to what you intended as a donor. So please in the future state what it is you want it to go to. Like if you want to support us getting medications in Mexico which last time was $600 worth you can write medications. Just a quick note goes a long way in helping us allocate.
The video is of a cat that was spayed as a tnr from Yuma 4 days ago And is not doing well at all. Her name is Michi And She's been vomiting And not eating. And now she's actually letting us pet her which normally we would be excited about but considering how sick she's become we find it alarming.

Sundance and Moondance are feeling great, these bonded boys have come a long way in one week. They are just about ready to transfer to a rescue. We like to send healthy cats.
13 of the 14 Yuma kitties ( technically the number is more because they're having babies), 13 of them have cleared symptoms of their respiratory infections and just finishing the antibiotics! All but 4 are clear of the diarrhea and finished dewormer and continue the probiotics and digestive supplement. All but late pregnancy cats have been spayed or neutered. 5 pregnant or new moms are under our care split across 4 foster homes to continue getting treated, and 7 more cats are lined up to go to intake assessments at a rescue this week. Halo took the sweet black dsh boy last week we named Aztec. As we continue to get placement for these kitties that have gotten healthier and altered, we will make space to go up next weekend and save some more, still prioritizing saving the most sick and the most pregnant. But I wanted to share that even though a week ago everybody was dehydrated and had respiratory infections, many leaky swollen eyes and a couple were lethargic, and severe explosive diarrhea of various colors, that this week we have clear eyes and remarkable improvement all around. Since we know which medications are working for them, we will be picking up more in Mexico next weekend to accommodate the others coming from this trailer park.
Spay and neuter community cats. Get friendly cats and kittens fixed and indoors. And if you're a rescue or TNR group please help Yuma cats!
Unloaded everybody from the vehicle from today's Yuma run and got them triaged and set up for the night while we start making plans on who's getting altered - barn program and who is going to rescue and where/when.
So we have a plan now to save all of these cats. They have been poisoned to induce miscarriages, they have been poorly fed, recently shot with BB guns, they are all sick and underweight and they just need to be somewhere safer around people a lot more stable. ( Local animal services have not been able to help ). We have not found rescue placement yet but we have found temporary placement and have worked out a plan to go and get the entire colony next weekend.( Lost our home may take some).
We know every single one of them is sick and they're going to need some time on antibiotics and some care, and we will probably get them all fixed to make it easier for the rescues. We thankfully have a few different people that after seeing the videos from what this colony has been enduring, have agreed to caravan up with us on a 'no cat left behind mission'. If you would like to donate to support this effort [email protected] is the paypal.
Please stay tuned for updates as we hope to have many good ones in the next few weeks. This colony has been a heartbreaking situation but we finally have the manager who will stand there and make sure these residents do not stop us from saving any of them. Not this time.
Now if you can help bring any amount of these cats into your care for a couple weeks and give them the antibiotics which we will provide to you, please let us know. We have pop-ups, wire kennels and we are working to collect up supplies of litter and food. The more of us that can take a few, the better quality care they will each get during this crucial chapter, which hopefully is only about 2 weeks before their strong enough and healthy enough be taken into rescues. There are dozens of kittens and friendly adults.

Trap training is a useful technique to get the kitties used to the traps before the night of the trapping. Here is an instructional video made by Diane Melrose on how to do this.
