Sligo Candy Boy ACHIEVES 5* STATUS AS A RESULT OF THE SUCCESS OF HIS PROGENY

The Irish Sport Horse Studbook have announced the newly upgraded 5* Star Rating for the 2009 Irish Sport Horse stallion Sligo Candy Boy, achieved by the performances of his Eventing progeny.

Bred and owned by Padraig and Catherine Howley at Sligo West Stud in Ireland; Sligo Candy Boy is a son of the Oldenburg Show Jumper Balou Du Rouet and he competed with Vincent Howley as a young horse, including qualifying for the Royal Dublin Horse Show as a 4 year old.

He later competed up to 1.20m as a 5 and a 6 year old before retiring to stud.

We will be headed to Ireland at the end of the month to look at a large number of fantastic horses and ponies!

Sourcing horses from Ireland and the U.K. allows us to access a larger number of quality horses to ensure they are everything GL Sport Horses stand by.

Our highest priority is to make lifetime matches for both the horse and the rider.

We listen to the needs of each individual buyer and take the time to get to know each horse we source to find out what job they will be best suited for!
