That’s it. I’m keeping all of them 😂 oof I wish!
We’re so excited! It’s hard to see because it’s zoomed in but those are sweet little puppies ❤️❤️
For those of you who don’t know, late last year Annie had an accident. we had moved our fire pit in the yard and he wasn’t paying attention. He was running around playing with the other dogs and tumbled right over it. He came down on his neck and shoulder, let out a loud yelp but got up and shook it off. He seemed fine. about a week to two weeks later he started to limp and within days a small limp turned into him not being able to hold his head up or walk without pain. We took him to the vet where his x rays showed his spine wasn’t in good shape. There were 3 options.
1. surgery which would have taken upwards of a year to fully recover from if it even works. It sounded painful and he was already in so much pain.
2. Manage symptoms with pain medications, steroids and strict bed rest. Only going out to potty and then right back to his bed. He wasn’t allowed to walk if there wasn’t a reason (this is harder than its sounds)
3. Euthanasia.
We chose to manage this the best we could, and if it didn’t work we were scared we would have to euthanize. He has lost just under 30lbs of fat and muscle mass. I’m not happy that this is why he lost the weight, but he is actually at a much healthier weight now which probably helped with his recovery.
I’m happy to tell y’all he’s doing wonderful. My big boy can now walk and play and even run! You can tell he’s still having a little pain here and there as he does have some not so great days, but this is amazing!!!! He has way more good days than bed days now. There for a while we weren’t sure and it was horrible thinking the worst but thank god we’re past that now!
Today he went to the park and Dairy Queen with us. He got some fries and some whipped cream 😂He was so happy and so excited!! My big boy is back guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I couldn’t be happier.
Lol those pine cones are worth way more than toys 😂
Minnow and trout. They are like best friends. Where one goes, so does the other.
Little play grumbles are my favorite ❤️❤️
