As Halloween approaches, we want to remind pet owners about the potential dangers that Halloween candy can pose to pets.

Many candies can be harmful or even toxic to pets. Chocolate, for example, is a well-known danger for dogs and cats, as it contains theobromine, which can lead to serious health issues. Additionally, candies that contain xylitol, a common sugar substitute, can be extremely toxic to pets. Hard candies and wrappers also pose a choking hazard or could cause intestinal blockages if ingested. Be sure to store candy in a secure place, well out of your pets’ reach.
