Dear community,

As many of you know, my love for cats has led me to dedicate myself to this beautiful cause. Thanks to your unwavering support, we’ve been able to provide shelter for many cats in need. However, with the cold weather settling in, new cats have arrived seeking a safe space, and we need your help.

We are expanding the space for the new arrivals, but there are still a few things we need. Specifically, we are looking for a shelter like the one below. If anyone is kind enough to donate one, I would be deeply grateful.

We deeply admire the efforts of individuals and organizations dedicating their time and energy to rescuing animals, as well as the heroic work of firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives to fight these fires. Missing Cat: PANCAKE
A sweet cat named Pancake went missing on December 6, 2024, around 5:50 PM from the front yard near the corner of Southwest 132nd Ave and 186th Street, Miami, FL 33177. Pancake is a 3-year-old tan/golden brown Munchkin Persian cat. He has sensitive digestive issues and severe allergies, requiring a very special diet. Pancake recently underwent surgery and urgently needs his medication.

Today, I want to share my joy with you. Being part of this small cat rescue has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Little by little, I hope you’ll get to know my story and understand the deep love that drives me to do this work.

Every time I connect a cat in need with a kind-hearted person, my heart fills with joy. I believe that good deeds should be shared to inspire others. When we act out of love, the results are always positive, and each small act of kindness leaves a lasting mark on our society and on the lives of those who have no voice.

Today, I want to tell you about Nala, a sweet cat who was at risk of being left without shelter. Her owner, who loves her deeply, had no choice but to seek help because she’s temporarily staying somewhere that doesn’t allow pets. Thanks to this beautiful community and the support of compassionate people, we found a foster willing to care for Nala while her owner works on finding a more stable solution.

Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help, from the bottom of my heart, for Nala—a sweet 5-month-old kitten who urgently needs a safe place to stay for a short period. Her owner is going through an extremely difficult time: she has lost her home and, while working on her relocation, will be staying in a place that does not allow pets.

Nala is spayed, vaccinated, and a loving little cat who deserves a roof over her head and a safe space to rest. Her owner is desperately searching for a temporary home for her, as she may be forced to make the heartbreaking decision of leaving Nala at a shelter if no one can help—something she wants to avoid at all costs.

This is a call to kind-hearted individuals willing to open their home and heart for a limited time. We will provide her food and all necessary supplies to ensure she is well cared for during her stay.

Today, November 29th, I am deeply honored to introduce Zuzu’s Cat Rescue and the mission behind it. This is a mission built on love, commitment, and passion; born from a promise I made to my mother, the woman I love and miss with every fiber of my being. She taught me to be better every day, to practice compassion, and to love deeply, especially the most vulnerable, whether human or animal.

In her honor, this foundation is a tribute to her life, her legacy of kindness and love. Today would have been her birthday, and I chose this meaningful day to bring this dream to life—one I know she would have cherished as much as I do. With every life we rescue, I will feel her presence, guiding us and lighting the way, just as she always did.
