Start your week off right by making today extra special for your rabbit (or guinea pig.) Here a fun idea! We made a giant snuffle mat / food puzzle for Jay using cardboard packing paper, food pellets, pea flakes, and orange peel. 🍊🫛🐰 You can change up the ingredients and use other floral and herbal mixes.
Not only is this easy to make, it’s a great way to encourage natural foraging behaviors! Rabbits thrive when they have to “work” for their treats, just like they would in the wild. Adding puzzles and snuffle mats to feeding time keeps them mentally stimulated and makes mealtime fun.
It’s also so entertaining to watch them run around to find all their favorite bits. Want to give it a try? Share your foraging adventures with us — we’d love to hear about or see them!

We’re thrilled to see Missy is now able to hold herself up for short periods — such an improvement from just a week ago when she was a little seal 🦭
Can’t wait to see how far she’ll go!

When you’re hungry but getting out of bed just feels like too much effort …
Caspian really loves his bunny bed. This sweet Florida White mix is estimated to be 1–2 years old, he is neutered, litter box trained, and looking for a foster or forever home.
Despite his unique look, we don’t anticipate Caspian needing any additional medical care for his ears. We simply check them daily for debris or wax buildup and make sure he’s not in his litter box when replenishing hay to avoid any stray pieces getting into his exposed ears.

Caspian 👑 has officially declared that hard floors are unacceptable. This little prince (who was living as a pauper in an outdoor colony before being rescued) has gotten so spoiled in his foster home that he now insists on only hopping on carpets. We're going to use this video as an example of why we always recommend having area rugs, carpets and runners for rabbits. They don't like hard, slippery floors where they can't get good traction-it's stressful and uncomfortable for them. #adoptme #adoptdontshop #rescuefosteradopt #fosteringsaveslives #rabbitrescue #animalrescue #secondchances #rabbit #rabbitsofig #miamiflorida
Meet Mistletoe aka Missy 🌿🐰🎄Yesterday, our friends at Space Coast Bunnies shared a video of a rabbit dragging her back legs. We knew she needed help ASAP because the sooner rabbits receive treatment for spinal injuries, the better their chance at recovery. Luckily our wonderful exotic veterinarian Dr. Pardini made space to see her right away. But Missy had a few surprises for us .. her X-rays showed no spinal fractures—her injury is likely due to a herniated or ruptured disk. While fractures can be more dangerous, they can heal, so this news was bittersweet. Missy’s recover is a lot more guarded. Especially when it was discovered she has cancer. #rabbitrescue #sanctuary #secondchances #rescuelove #animalrescue #animalovers #rabbitsofig #SpecialNeedsBunny #spinalinjury
