We had a wonderful time at the Czar's Promise Inspiring Hope Walk! While it was a windy, chilly day, the vibes were warm and the funds raised for this great organization were worth it!!

We had the whole out to support the cause, and were excited to see our friends Aurora Veterinary Care ! We successfully raffled off the wonderful gift basket that was donated from the amazing folks Nutzy Mutz & Crazy Catz!

Please keep lilies out of your house if you have kitties! They are incredibly toxic!

Inpatient cats had a superior outcome than outpatient cats following lily exposure; however, cats treated as outpatients may still have favorable outcomes. 🐈

Rabies is real.....and preventable!

Sad case of a human contracting rabies from a bat in Ontario. Rabies is fatal if not prevented early. Please vaccinate your pets and seek care immediately if you have any exposure to a bat - even if you don't think you've been bit. It could save your life!

As parents we want to keep our pets happy and healthy, but don't always know the signs of illness. Dr. B is on a mission to empower pet parents to recognize early signs of disease so we fulfill our mission of longer, happier lives for our best pals.

First in our series of "How do I know if my cat is sick?" is labored breathing. This can be a subtly increased rate of breathing or true distress. If you are concerned, you can count your cat's breaths, and if more than 30 - 35 breaths per minute - reach out to your veterinarian.

If you cat is breathing really rapidly, breathing with their mouth open, or panting - this is an emergency and you should seek emergency care!
