Had a nice surprise when we woke up this morning. One of the things i love about late summer babies and this breed is that mom builds a nest, has her kids and can leave to eat and drink for the first week before the babies will wander outside of the nest. Ready for purchase in 8 weeks

We have 9 pigs ready for butcher. We also have approx 80 pounds of unrendered lard we need to move to make room for more bacon. Mangalitsa/berkshire cross. Lots of gourmet pork from the farm. A few facts about mangalitsa pork. It has the 2nd highest vatamin D content of any meat on the planet behind cod liver oil. "Who wants to eat that?" It has good cholesterol instead of bad. "What!!!?" It produces a redish meat that resembles beef with beautiful marbled fat instead of a light pink with no marbling. The flavor in this pork is unmatched.
