HALP! 📣

We did a thing today and soooo very unexpectedly 🫣🙃

But we decided last minute to spring this poor dude from our local shelter. A very jammed packed over full shelter.

His name is Tim
Tim is a poor hot mess of matted fur from end to end.
Has a few teefers missing so his wittle tongue hangs out.
Super adorable and his teeth are fine.

But hey, that doesn't stop him. He's just like super happy even though he can't see through all that shaggy matted fur.

After meeting him and seeing just how bad he was. We coordinated between our fosters and worked out a plan very quickly.

And got him an appt for tomorrow morning with our friends at Stars Hollow Dog Resort & Grooming 🎉 to clean this dude up.

His face is just so grungy, his hiney is a mess and nails need attention. Basically from one end to the other needs attention 😬

After getting him out we went straight to our vet and our friends at Town and Country got him for his initial vetting.

He'll need a booster vaxx in two weeks and set up to be neutered.
Plus we had to buy food and Nexgard Plus.
Fecals and 4dx are all negative so yay 🎉🐾

We honestly were going to just take it easy this week.
BUT who are we kidding when so many dogs are in need of help. And we couldn't leave without him.

Now we have to raise funds for him which is going to be $400

We are soooooo hoping we can raise the money for Tim's bill

Happy Gotcha Day 🥰

Our sweet Harold found his Fur-Ever home recently.

Harold came into our local shelter after living a very hard life as a street dog in WTX.

We knew he needed extra TLC so we reached out to our fosters and instantly Melissa and her husband Brandon said they'd love to help.

Once Harold arrived to their home he instantly became so at home. Loving the indoors, bed to sleep on and beautiful home to be part of.

During a trip they had out of town he stayed with our friends at Stars Hollow Dog Resort & Grooming and made so many new friends and got to Pawty with everyone.

Once they returned and picked up Harold and got home. They realized at that moment he was in fact HOME 🥹

They quickly let us know they wanted to keep him and of course we were totally for it and couldn't have been happier.

So we made it official last week and as you can see, Harold is gleaming with all smiles and living his absolute best life ❤️

Thank you Melissa and Brandon for adopting Harold and giving him the best life.

Update
He has Anaplasmosis (tick fever)
Giardia
And several areas on his body with skin infection and yeast infection.
He has special shampoo now to help with all the issues.
He's on 3 different meds and recheck in two weeks
His ear flaps have crusty scabs and yeast infection.
His belly was super bloated so we needed to xray
Found he has eaten so much but apparently didn't p**p so he's so full.
He starts on new food tomorrow.
Poor dude just hasn't felt good at all but he will be better in no time.
His bill today was quite a bit but we are so glad we got him and he will be good as new soon 😊

We have the chance to save another shelter pup.
This middle aged boy came in full of fleas and ticks. And has some skin issues due to that.

He got a Nexgard in the shelter and he's clear of the nasty bugs. But he is so sad. Stays curled up in his little roll cage.
Poor guy is depressed and scared.

After transport yesterday we stopped by to see him. His little belly and legs have Dermatitis type skin issues and slightly inflamed 😞

We already have him a work in appointment today with our vet to have him checked out. At 4:45pm

But we need to raise the funds for him.
His name is Theodore and we will need a total of $350
That will all go towards his vetting

He's safe and out of the shelter

Harrison needs out
His brother was adopted and now he's all by himself 😥
We got to meet him and he is so lonely and scared now.

And we'd love to get him
But as you know with the outstanding bill we have.
Funds have to be raised ahead of getting dogs.

We've got fosters lined up and can take him today.

We also have an anonymous donor who has offered to donate $100 so that means we just have to raise $250 to make it happen.

We were able to knock down alot off our bill with all the generous amazing people who donated per our recent post. 🙌

Feeling super blessed by all the support.

Unfortunately we cannot help any dogs at this time. 😥💔
We have a balance at our vet that must be paid by end of the month

Which is $6,064.82

We've posted dogs we need funds for. Dogs who need vetting done. Dogs who need HC'S to make transport. No luck there 😢

We cannot finish dogs vetting without paying on our bill and get this done by end of October
Wish we could help more but until donations get better we are closed and unable to help.

Our vet has been more than patient and very understanding but vet care isn't free and they need paid to.
They provide us with the best care and always helping us.

I'm trying real hard to make it to end of the year and having to really consider closing down.
It's been a very difficult thought and not one I want to make.
But that's the hard reality now

This month makes five years we've been rescuing. Five years is about the time small rescues start considering closing down.

Times are tough. Some people would rather support a larger style rescue making it even harder for ours to continue.

So I am personally grateful for the supporters we have and always helping us out. Without all of you we wouldn't have been able to stay this long.

We'll see what happens by end of the year. And where we stand. We've got a few small type fundraisers we are hoping to have.

All of these dogs here are grateful for their second chances and all the one's before them to.

We've always been a quality vs quantity dog rescue.
We aren't in it for the glorification and showing off numbers.
We aren't in competition with anyone. And trying to be better than.

We just want to help dogs, provide the best care and homes.

🚐🐾🚐🐾🚐🐾🚐

We have a transport at the end of the month for these six lucky puppers.
But we have alot to do to get them ready to head up north.

Two get neutered this week (today and tomorrow)
Plus they all need HC'S and fecals done. And 3 get booster vaxx.

We are struggling with donations and can't seem to raise enough to keep afloat and continuing to help more dogs.

Honestly not sure how long we can keep doing this. Trying to help dogs in need but burying ourselves in vet bills.
Quite defeating to be honest!!!

The constant requests to take in more dogs.
There are shelter pups/dogs in need of rescue and having to turn them down really hurts. But that's where we are at.

Rescues are drowning in dogs in foster care. And some of us are drowning in bills to.

So with all this being said
We have to raise alot for these six dogs. They have families waiting for them.

Not lying
We need $600 plus for these dogs
HC'S and fecals alone will cost us $570 😟
It's worrisome that we don't know where we stand now.
Difficult to avoid the shelter
Because we know how many dogs need us 💔
I don't know if people truly understand what we feel.

Sweet Caroline had her follow up today 🖤🙏
All her fecals were negative 🎉
Her fever went down and back to normal. 🎉

The bloodwork showed low numbers in some areas but all due to her immune system being knocked down and her poor little body being under so much stress
But all in all it's good. And will be monitored.

She did get some eye drops for the little bumps on her lower lids and that's due to the URI she's having, with the infection.
Caroline has started eating and drinking. She's been more perky today with her foster and gave a little tail wag.

She'll continue her oral meds and she goes back in 10 days for more bloodwork and recheck.

We promise to get her where she needs to be. No matter how long it takes.

We still have to keep raising funds for her and asking for everyone to please share and if you can help with any amount we'd greatly appreciate it.

Our vet bill is back up to $9,074
And we can no way take on more dogs and help more in need until it gets paid down.

Can we get an Amen and Praise God for our beautiful Renee?!

Her results came back today!
NO CANCER 😭🙏🩷

Everything was removed and the lesion is benign.

Many many thanks to Town and Country Vet and for all the prayers and positive vibes.

And to Tasha Sport Dog & Pet Photography for her beautiful photos 🥹

We are beyond happy for Renee because she's one amazing dog!
She's getting a celebratory dinner tonight from her foster mom.
