Keeping puppies busy with a snuffle mat.

Finally a decent sunny day and the puppies can play outside.

A beautiful spring like day! Pups had their first play time outside today.

Holly - 7 weeks.

Yesterday at 7am a swarm of roofers ascended to replace the roof on the house. So ok, I’m dreading a day of banging, hammering and BARKING dogs. To my surprise, the older dogs have been fairly quiet, but the 6.5 week old puppy is doing fantastic! No whining, crying, and best of all NO FEAR. Here’s a short video, a bit noisy, but you get the idea...

Entertaining the dogs with a fur toy on a lunge line. Even Stitch joined in the game. She’s 15.5 yrs old and pretty mellow these days.

Traveler had 2 girl pups a week ago Sunday, but the tiny girl didn’t make it. She was just too small, only 3.5 oz and didn’t gain weight. She nursed, drank the bottle, but alas she just didn’t thrive. Traveler was a really neurotic mother the first week too, so that probably didn’t help. She’s finally settling down. The other pup (aka Butterball) was 4 3/8oz and is a 11oz today.

Skittles meets the rats at Go To Ground .....

Finn got to visit the big city on Saturday. He went to the rally in D.C. He did great! He met variety of people, including a Secret Service policeman who was in uniform. Bikers and joggers going by and he never gave them a second look or tried to chase them. He did give the birds and squirrels a second glance, but no surprise there. 😉He didn't like the grates and metal covers on the sidewalk, but took everything else in stride, including all the city and rally noise.
