Still looking for forever homes! AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi… born 6/20 up to date on shots, and deworming. Genetically tested, carriers for DM clear on VWF and DNM1. Will have health check this Friday! Once a deposit is made we will even microchip for you. One female and male available!

Our sweet Daphne girl came back from the vet today, via ultrasound she was confirmed not bred. We scheduled a more in-depth exam to be taken to see if she is in fact of sound body to be bred. Genetically, she is great! Physically, we need to take a deeper look. Either way Daphne will continue to live out her life of luxury here with us! We love her too much to part from her regardless of the news we may get.

We want to be sure she is in the best health she can be in, pregnancy or no pregnancy. So as of now we will focus on her soundness!

Meet one of our newest ladies, Miss Daphne. Daphne is so much fun and quickly becoming one of my kids favorite dogs. She is very athletic, LOVES toys, balls and chasing water. She will be due in September, I think this litter will be very special! Help us welcome Daphne!

Important reminder! All my puppies go to their forever homes with week and I wish them all the best! But puppy life is hard, be patient! ❤️

THIS IS A PSA

Puppies bite. They bite a lot. They bite hard. Their teeth are sharp. You might bleed. It might seem relentless.

Scaring the pants off them by yelling, pinning, shoving or shouting will not only do precisely zero, it will potentially create a fearful adult dog.

Puppies bite more when;
They are tired
They are hungry
They are bored
They are overstimulated
They are teething

Read that again. They bite MORE when they are the above. They will also bite when they are absolutely fine. They are dogs not dolls.

Be compassionate not scary. They will grow out of it but only if you teach them a good alternative. Trade for toys. Use a pen or a crate. Teach calmness. Reward gentle interactions. Grit your own teeth and ride it out while reinforcing good stuff and proactively managing bad stuff.

Be proactive when you know biting happens like after some play, when excitement goes up, when they are overtired (7-9pm witching hour anyone?) and give them a good chew or help them settle, or channel that energy into some training.

It does get better basically. Don’t panic. Most puppy biting isn’t aggression. Be CONSISTENT and PROACTIVE and expect more than a few bites along the way.

I haven’t shared much on our only female of Bear and Tot’s litter because she got claimed almost immediately but look how pretty she is! I have kept close contact with her new owners since the first day they messaged me and I hope that continues as she grows. She is just perfect and sassy 🥰

Healthy diets for all animals are so important. Corgis are very food motivated and training can be extremely easy! Nutritious treats and meals are a must. Talk to your vet about the best diet for your fur babies.

Is a corgi the right fit for you and your family? Did you know corgis are ranked as the 11th smartest dog breed? They have a life span of 12-15 years. Their coats are low maintenance as corgis are very clean dogs, but they are heavy shedders. If bred well, corgis are known to have minor health issues!

First round of shots, dewormed on a schedule, 90% puppy pad trained and VERY social. Exposed to kids, chickens, other dogs, horses, and cattle. 6 weeks today! Ready! Meet the momma! I could go on and on about her but bottom line she is just my best friend. If we are doing it, she is there. She loves truck rides and being in the middle of everything. Her coloring is the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen, she is sassy, cuddly and loves her family. While she hasn’t been started on herding stock yet, she herds our kids just fine! Her full name is Tater Tot but we call her Tot or Tot Tot.

Who can guess why we called her Tater Tot?
