I fell behind sharing graduation photos again after a vacation, but I'm going to try to catch up on a few batches.

He is my first in the Auburn store, and he's already been putting in work as a great distraction dog for my clients that came after him.

Unfortunately, like I mentioned in my previous post, Watson may also be the last dog I certify in the Auburn store. There's wiggle room for my clients that have already booked, but PetCo and the AKC are ending their partnership. Still not clear where things like "non-compete clauses" in my contract will land on this change, but it will mean no new clients will be able to certify their dogs here 🙁

Of course I still know all about the CGC requirements and can still help people who want to practice for the test.

For completing PetCo's class
the.crochet.girl has been asking if the graduation cap she made needs replacing, and Bagel almost really forced that issue. Apparently she has never had anything on her head, and she was not standing for it 😄

Nala was funny because she was very friendly, but wasn't really interested in other dogs at first. Her play sessions were so chill in the beginning. Bagel did eventually teach her to play a little 😍

True to her namesake, she came prepared with her own graduation cap and class of 2024 bandana. Hermione transferred to me from another trainer so I didn't get as much time with her as I would have liked, but she's coming back for PetCo's class If any dogs want to really hit the books with her.

First class to finish in the new store

Poor Tucker was a little nervous in the store, which always made his little brother Bailey want to come rescue him. A tricky dynamic that's really important to be aware of and balance correctly. Our classes are always meant to be fun and voluntary for the dogs. Meanwhile Koda was also a little shy at first, but by the end of the first class on, he was just loving life. Absolute ham 😍

Kane and Ranger's group shot for the first class they took together. It took them a couple weeks to figure out how they wanted to play together. Ranger was a ball of tireless energy from day 1, but Kane just wanted to chill out. Eventually though Kane figured out that he was always going to have the weight advantage and could set the pace for any play time.
