Heroes & Horses We are here to help improve lives of our Heroes through connection with horses. Riding is optional in this program as it's about much more then riding.

Our Heroes & Horses program is an 8 to 10 week program and riding will begin in about 5 or 6 weeks, providing the Veteran is ready and willing to ride. Movement of the horses is similar to a human's walking motion and this can strengthen specific muscle groups and increase balance that may not be provided with traditional physical therapy. Horses are the mirrors to our souls. Bonding with a 1,000

lb loving animal can be emotionally satisfying and comforting. It improves in development of patience, emotional control, self discipline by way of repetition from start to finish of a visit with the horses and grooming. Interactions with horses also helps with anxiety. This is a proven method of therapy.

Hello Friends and family. These monthly breakfasts are open to any and all Veterans. It is coordinated by H&H only, you don’t have to be a member, although we’d love if you ask questions about our program. We do need You to RSVP, so there are enough seats and wait staff to help make these a success. Hope you can make it.

Members of Heroes & Horses had a field trip this past Saturday to Hooves for Heroes at the Eagle Valley Equestrian Center to meet other wonderful people that offer the same kind of programs as H&H. Huge THANK YOU to Chantal Fogarty for bringing us together to meet other Veterans and other likeminded people and programs. Three programs, ONE goal – helping our Veterans one way or another. Thank you and great to meet members of the Penn State Western Equestrian Team and folks from Rising Hope Therapeutic Riding Center and Victory Therapeutic Horsemanship.
