Second Dance Ranch has limited availability for good natured laid back Horses and Owners. With years of high end Horse ownership coupled with 30+ years of Veterinary experience we find ourselves uniquely positioned to care for aging horses and possibly younger very stable horses in the heart of South Asheville, NC. 8 min off the Airport exit on I26, near Sierra Nevada but tucked away with zero street traffic. Should you still trail ride, Mills River is 8 minutes away with the Biltmore Estate and Dupont 20 to 30. Being close to town we provide opportunities for frequent lunch break visits. Let's be real... We like to see our horses more than we get to ride them. Life is intentionally quiet here with very few boarders. We are an all inclusive Concierge Care facility charging a bit more providing the best care in a peaceful environment for very few horses. Our philosophy is to care for your horse no differently than our own and to be fair ours are spoiled rotten. We're not here to nickel and dime you with fees. If you've boarded, you know what we mean. If it's cold, your horse is getting a blanket. If buggy, fly sheets or brought inside under a fan. No extra charge. Need eye drops or special medication fed? No problem. You pay only for the medication or special feed. When two horses pair up, they get their own pastures and stalls beside each other when possible. Our sweet spot is old horses like ourselves looking for greener pastures to chill in. It's worth noting our ground is flat and rock free so no shoes are required. One boarder saves $300 every 6 weeks being able to remove costly prescription shoes.
Yes. You pay for special feed beyond grains like Triple Crown Senior or Strategy Healthy Edge, whichever your horse likes best is included. Medications, healthcare like Wormer, shots, check ups and farrier service Etc. are not. We're here to meet with any care provider 24/7. You're welcome to come hang out, but we got you.
