New project? Sometimes I just let nature do the thing & then the chick comes out like 🤯. Here’s a baby hatched from my lavender satin gentleman, Xandar, over a Cuckoo Marans. This little baby has fibro color AND 5 toes, with what looks like Marans’ chick feathering. I’m hoping for good cuckoo barring. Could be pretty sick. The last time I did a silkie x Ameraucana cross, the hens were fibro like Mom (a silkie) & the rooster was pink like Dad (an Ameraucana). I’m wondering if this little one will be a rooster too? Only time will tell…
