Millersville Animal Hospital

Millersville Animal Hospital We look forward to providing a safe and happy experience for you and your pets. In 2003, Dr. Timothy Trigilio added his talents to our team.

We are a full-service veterinary hospital providing the people and pets of our community a wide range of services and pet health products. In addition to dogs and cats, we see ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs and pocket pets (guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice). Our experienced and highly trained team takes great pride in making your pet care experience as informative, comfortab

le and convenient as possible. Millersville Animal Hospital was originally founded in 1990 by Dr. Richard Rodgers as Benfield Animal Hospital. His experience and expertise built a solid foundation on which the hospital could flourish. After working as an associate with Dr. Rodgers, Dr. Michael Rommel acquired the hospital in 2001 and soon after changed the name. Dr. Katie Laning joined our team in 2007, bringing her years of experience and a fresh perspective on treatment options. We look forward to being your trusted source for your pet's health needs for many years to come. We offer a wide range of services at Millersville Animal Hospital. Below are a brief description of the various services we offer. Since our pets can't tell us when they're hurting, it takes a combination of observant owners and routine check-ups by a veterinarian. This way, we can catch problems early. Our veterinarians provide comprehensive physical examinations on every pet visit to make sure we respond to any problems. Puppy And Kitten Education
Bringing a new critter into your home opens many new joys, as well as frustrations. Our staff is trained to discuss many topics specific to puppies and kittens, including behavior challenges, housetraining, vaccine recommendations, intestinal parasites, heartworm prevention, flea and tick control and more. Geriatric Education
Our pets' health needs change as they grow older, just like their human owners. Did you know that most pets are considered geriatric once they reach seven years old? Let our staff work with you and your older pet to formulate a health plan including routine laboratory tests, nutritional modifications and preventative medicine to help reduce the risk of geriatric diseases. Anesthesia
Our staff is committed to providing the latest, safest anesthetic protocols to our patients. This includes the addition of various types of pain management techniques to ensure your pet receives as pain-free an experience as possible. A state-of-the-art anesthesia monitor provides a continuous reading of each patient's heart rate, ECG, blood oxygen saturation level, exhaled carbon dioxide level and blood pressure during the anesthetic procedure. Surgery
Our doctors are experienced with a wide array of surgical procedures, ranging from the common spay and neuter surgeries to more involved tumor removals, stomach and intestinal operations, urinary bladder procedures, ear hematoma repair, minor eye surgery and more. Dentistry
Just think about what our mouths would look like (let alone smell like) if we didn't brush our teeth regularly. Well, you don't have to imagine, just look in your pet's mouth!
