Did someone say New Years Eve party?🎉 Adoptable Mochi is at the ready to greet the guests for her foster family, though she would most like to meet an adoptive family to call her own!

Mochi is five years young and has been with us at Anne Arundel for almost 70 days waiting to find a family. Recently, Mochi had the opportunity to go to a foster and has been unwinding and making herself nice and comfy.🥹

Mochi has done well with everyone she has met with her foster family, including their resident dog who has shown her the ropes when it comes to sunbathing and puppy cuddles. Mochi sleeps through the night, adores belly rubs and toys, and takes treats gently. Basically, she is just the most darling girl you could ask for!🐾

Has your home been feeling empty this holiday season? No puppies or kitties hogging the couch? Well, Adoptable Yuni may be just the pup for you! She only needs a few minutes to pack up her favorite toys and she’ll be ready to go🐶💕

After over 100 days in the shelter, this sweet older lady is ready to make her big break from the shelter and finally get an adoptive family. Though Yuni is incredibly social and loving with all her people friends, she would like to be the only pet in the home. And who can blame her - she definitely deserves all the attention and love!

Despite being an older lady, Yuni still has lots of energy when it comes to play time and is known for throwing her toys up in the air all by herself so she can catch them again.🥰 You’ll have to trust us when we say her zoomies are out of this world cute - or maybe you’ll have to come meet her and see for yourself!

Adoptable Star-Crossed Love definitely has a future in modeling, but she is also looking for a future with you!🐱

The adorable young kitty is only a year old and already has quite the story. Star was found to have a small congenital heart defect that thankfully does not hinder her activities nor require any daily intervention or medication. Her cardiologist has said she is at low risk for complications but does recommend yearly check-ups to make sure there are no changes to her heart since she is only a year old.

Star has been with a foster family where she has proved herself to be such a darling girl. Plus, it is thanks to her amazing foster that she was able to see a cardiologist as she raised the money for her visits by teaching cookie decorating classes! This little girl is definitely worth the effort and deserves the best adopter in the world. 🥹💕

Little lady Star loves to play in her foster home, watch birds outside the window, and nap with you on the couch. She has perfect manners and has the most darling, dainty meow.😽 She loves to play and isn’t slowed down one bit and has even proved to be a very competent biscuit maker. 🧑‍🍳

Don’t let adoptable A Thousand Wishes’ name fool you, this sweet little lady only has a few wishes she is hoping will come true. Of course, a home of her own is number one on her list - could you be the fairy godmother she has been looking for?🥺✨

Though A Thousand Wishes has only been at our shelter for a short time, she has made her mark on every staff and volunteer member she meets with her gentle demeanor and loving personality. At only 30 pounds, this little lady is in need of some weight gain and would benefit from a home where she can settle in - even if it is just with a temporary foster.🐾

If you take in this sweet girl, A Thousand Wishes promises to do her best acclimating to being in a home again after coming in as a stray and already is smelling very princess-like after getting a pampering from one of our volunteers.

✨The magic of the holidays reminds us that with love and compassion, caring for rescue animals can lead to miraculous transformations and heartwarming stories of survival. Meet Jimothy, a brave little kitten who has overcome incredible odds!🐱💕

Jimothy and his siblings arrived at our shelter at only a few weeks old and were very sick and having trouble regaining their strength. Tragically, the rest of Jimothy’s siblings were not able to recover and even little Jimothy was rushed to see the vet more than once during his first few days in our care. But thanks to the unwavering support of his amazing foster family, he has grown into a thriving three-month-old, full of life and energy! 🥹

His foster family poured their love and dedication into nursing him back to health, never giving up hope. Now, he’s ready to find an adoptive home where he can share his joy and enthusiasm for life and show off how strong he has really become! If you’re looking for a fierce little companion who’s ready to fill your life with love, this little miracle is your perfect match.

🐾 Don’t Forget - We’re Open Today! 🎄✨

Our shelter is open today from 10am to 3pm for adoptions and adorable bunny Jack Sparrow is hoping today is his day to find a family!

This sweet lop eared bunny hasn’t been in the shelter for long but he has made his mark for being a smart, sweet boy who has impressed all of us here by being perfectly litter trained. Though Jack Sparrow came in as a stray, he has clearly had a home previously and is hoping to find a family of his own.💕🐰

Adoptable Oreo has a lot on her Christmas list this year - extra large ear muffs for those cold winter walks, a big bag of treats, and most important of all, an adoptive family! This sweet older lady has seen her fair share of holidays, but this will be her very first one without a family, so we’re hoping being open on Christmas Eve will bring Oreo the holiday miracle she has been looking for. 🎄✨

As we reflect on this holiday season, we are filled with gratitude for the amazing support we’ve received from our community. Whether you’ve volunteered your time, donated supplies, or opened your heart to an animal in need, you’ve truly made a difference in the lives of so many furry friends. 🐶💖

This year, we are especially thankful for our new partnership with Fieldstone Animal Inn, who are providing a loving foster home for Denarius, a sweet dog who is still looking for her adoptive home. 🏡 Denarius has found a place to relax and receive the care she deserves while he waits for that special family to come along. Thank you, Fieldstone Animal Inn, for being a vital part of Denarius’ journey!

Together, with the help of our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners, we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you.

Look who we found under the Christmas tree today.🎄 These sweet babies were brought to us after a patron found them wondering alone outside, but now they are cuddled up in their cozy, Christmas bed ready to find their adoptive home!🎁

Meet Crinkles and Wavy, named after their unique, wavy black hair.🖤 These two boys are only about 10 or 12 weeks old and would love to get out of the shelter so they can grow big and strong with their new family. Have you been looking for some playful kittens to add to your holiday celebrations?🐱

This holiday season, help us change lives—just like fostering did for Venatori. 💕

When Venatori first arrived at the shelter, she was so scared that she hid under her bed for two weeks, unable to gain the confidence to come out. But everything changed when one of our amazing fosters stepped up to give her a much deserved break from the shelter.

Now, Venatori is thriving—enjoying belly rubs, playing with toys, and snuggling on the couch while she waits for her adoptive family. Her transformation shows how a little bit of love and a safe space can make all the difference. 🐶✨

After a day with over a dozen amazing pets going home with their new families, adoptable Lucy is confused why she isn’t curled up in a home right now too. We tried to explain to her how perfect she is, but since Lucy is deaf, we’ll have to hope the extra treats and b***y rubs got the point across!🐶

If you have been looking for the perfect medium sized pup to fill that empty spot on your bed, then Lucy is your girl! Lucy may be deaf, but she doesn’t let that stop her from being the absolute best companion. She’s loving, playful, and full of personality! She never fails to brighten the day of our staff and volunteers with her goofy smile and wiggly hellos - plus she gives out some pretty great cuddles.

Lucy promises her future family to put her best paw forward learning everything a hearing-dog can and more - though she won’t say no to lots of treats and attention for her efforts.💕

Missing - brothers Milk Dud and Junior Mint are in search of their tails and also, more importantly, an adoptive family to call their own!🐱

The cute kitties are have been with our shelter for quite some time now and though they are lucky enough to be in a foster home, what they really want is an adoptive family. After coming into the shelter scared and unsure, these little gentleman have come a long way and are much for cuddly and social in their foster home. At 7-months-old, these boys are still kittens, with rambunctious Milk Dud more outgoing, and Junior Mint still working on coming out of his shell. We are beyond thrilled to celebrate one of our most dedicated volunteers, Robin Nocar, who has truly set the bar high with their commitment to our furry friends here at AACAC! 🐶💕

No matter the weather—rain, shine, or anything in between—Robin never fails to come in to support our resident dogs, providing them with love, care, and much-needed exercise. Her passion and dedication are nothing short of extraordinary and she serves as a reminder to us and all volunteers just how great an impact one person can have on a whole community. As a testament to her incredible service, we are proud to announce that Robin has been honored with both the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Chief’s Award on behalf of the Anne Arundel County Police Department! 🏆👏

We could not be more thankful for Robin and her tireless dedication and commitment to serving our animals. Your heart, hard work, and tireless efforts are making a lasting impact on our community and the lives of these animals.

Adoptable Dahl’s only Christmas wish this year is that he will finally have a family and after patiently waiting for over 100 days, Dahl is starting to worry Santa Paws hasn’t been hearing him.💝

Dahl is currently our longest cat resident here at the shelter and after celebrating his first birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving all here in a kennel, we are all hoping Dahl can reign in the new year with a home of his own!🐱🎉 Though Dahl can be more reserved than some of our other kitty residents, with a little patience (and lots of treats) he is sure to cuddle up by you and keep you company with his chatty meows and adorable fluffy cheeks. This sweet boy is looking for a quiet home where he can finally unwind and let his true personality shine. Are you willing to give Dahl a chance?

If you were skeptical about the saying “good things come in small packages” then boy do we have a treat for you - meet adoptable Ari! This tiny bundle of fluff has everything you could want in your new best friend.

Ari came into the shelter recently and was lucky to find a foster family where he has been unwinding since. This little guy has a big personality and despite being around 12-years-old, Ari has tons of energy and loves to play in the backyard with his foster siblings.
