I have a request for some of the Pet parents of my graduates. One of my clients whose dog has graduated is Shiba Inu one year old Miles, is in desperate need of 2 to 3 weeks of home care while his mom flies to Puerto Rico to take care of a house emergency. Is anyone available?

Negative reinforcement is one of the worst ways to train a dog and in fact it seldom works. For a dog to listen, he or she has to want to please you, and not be scared of you. Be sure to always teach your dog using strategies like praise and kindness.

When it comes to eye gear, your dog may be more protected than you are. Dogs have three eyelids. The third lid that dogs have and humans do not is sometimes called a haw. It keeps a dog's eyes naturally lubricated.

Here are some dog hallmarks that may interest you. The oldest dog breed is probably the Egyptian Saluki (a hunting dog). The heaviest breed is the St. Bernard, and the smartest is likely the Border Collie (although some think the poodle is equally smart and a fitting genius candidate).
