We are delighted to congratulate our own Dr. Kayla on receiving the 2025 Indiana Veterinary Medical Association Achievement Award. Dr. Kayla was acknowledged for her contributions to advocating for organized veterinary medicine, including her testimony at the Indiana State House on a Xylazine bill and her involvement in a committee addressing rural veterinary medicine. We are privileged to have Dr. Kayla as part of our team.

To exhibit Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Meat Goats, Dairy Goats, Poultry, and Rabbits, 4-H members must be certified through the Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care Program (in-person) OR the online Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Program (YQCA). **Cloverbuds are not required to attend QLC trainings** 1. This certification must be done annually 2. Members must be registered before attending a program 3. Members need to attend one of the available program dates on this flyer OR a training in another county (if done in another county need to provide certificate of completion to 4-H Educator) OR complete the online YQCA training 4. $3 program fee per member. Will be collected at training. Cash or Check only please.

Jackman’s Animal Clinic in Milroy is nearing the grand opening of its new large animal facility! During the Rush County 4-H Beef Weigh-In, local 4-H members got an exclusive first look inside. The facility features a convenient drive-thru bay, allowing customers to unload animals indoors, protected from the weather. Stay tuned for more details about the official grand opening!

Reminder Beef Weigh-In letters were sent out in December! If you have questions over beef weigh-in please contact our office at 765-932-5974. Please note the change in location for weigh-in, which will now be held at Jackman's Large Animal Clinic in Milroy.

Despite the heavy snowfall and freezing conditions, an Indiana farmer's work goes on. ❄❄

There's livestock to feed, water troughs to thaw, grain to haul, cows to milk, snow to push and the list goes on. Thank you, farmers, for all that you do!
