So, while a whole bunch of you humans will try to be resolute & make yourself better in the new year, I'll continue being fabulous.
Nothing to change here. Nope.
Have you just ever had an extra spring in your step?
Rarely seen footage of the "forest beast." This wild Banshee roams the woods evading capture and mystifying any who are fortunate to catch a glimpse.
I know the dang ball is around here someplace. I'm gonna find it for sure.
What is the deal with cats trying to irritate me?
Just now while we were out for a walk, this really strange looking cat was digging around in the grass. I wanted to chase him to kingdom come but the old grey haired goof wouldn't let me.
If this keeps up cats all over will think I'm a sissy.
Indie and I watched the dog dock diving competition. She seemed to have something to say after each dive. Do you think she was giving them advice? Maybe, "time your jump, reach," or "get more height."
Sometimes I even impress myself! My self control today was incredible.
Here's the deal. In the video it looks like I am swimming with a K-9 friend & all is great, huh?
Let me tell you "the rest of the story."
Did you catch my quick reference to Paul Harvey?
Paul Harvey was a huge radio star with a whole bunch of listeners who loved his down home approach to presenting news stories.
Every day he’d begin a broadcast with one of his catchphrases, “Hello, Americans! I’m Paul Harvey.” Then after he started his story, before the next break he’d say, “In a moment…. the rest of the story….” And at the very end he would say, “Now you know…the rest of the story,” and conclude his radio show with, “Paul Harvey…Good day.” Feels like it was just yesterday, doesn’t it?
Anyway, back to the rest of my story.
This mongrel you see swimming next to me was a bully. Just because he can swim faster than I can he decided to fetch MY FRISBEE - get that? MY FRISBEE.
Yeah, he would chase it down, grab it in his big yap & swim back all while saying, "na, na, na, na, na.
If you know what's good for you big fella, you better watch your step next time.
Now you know the rest of the story, Indie...Good day.
Last night the old dude & I were walking on the trail. We turned the corner and look what we found. The young doe was not afraid of us and didn't even try to run away.
Me? I sat quietly being "a good girl."
In my younger days I most likely would have chased her. I guess I'm "older and wiser."
Nose down, tail up, that's how I roll. I was rolling along this morning when all of a sudden, WHAT IS THAT?
I found the scent of something badly out of place. A TURTLE in the middle of the field. Don't they need to be close to water?
Well, I got right on the case. I first sniffed the whole area out to get my bearings. Then I barked out to the turtle that he was lost & needed to get back to where the water is.
I'm not sure he/she took my advice though. I do hope there is a happy ending and the turtle gets back home.
