I'm pleased as punch to announce, I've been accepted into the ARTIST SHOWCASE 2025 presented by Wisconsin Visual Artists. the SE chapter. It features the work of 17 member artists of the SE Chapter.

Ten of my photographs from my "Women's Work" photo series is in the show.

Our Opening Reception is Sunday, June 22, 2025, 1-4pm at the Anderson Arts Center in Kenosha, WI.

Turns out I like dead but also living flowers just as much!

On a recent chilly morning I photographed Izzy and her co-worker Amanda for my photo series Women's Work.

Title: Arborist
Slang:Production arborist, tree surgeon, tree doctor

*What's the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part of my job is intentionally putting myself in uncomfortable situations, pushing myself physically and mentally. I'd venture to guess that most peoples' daily work doesn't involve putting themselves in immediate danger and harm's way. Of course, we do things in the safest manner possible, "by the books," but there's still a voice in my head triggering fight or flight as I yank the pull-start cord of a chainsaw while straddling a tree at 30 feet, or pushing off the trunk of a tree to swing through the air, and grab onto a branch across the canopy. Thankfully, after each successful task, I find myself feeling confident and proud, and the voice grows quieter.
