Dogs need to understand actions have consequences (both positive and negative) just like we do.

Mother Nature is a great example of this every single day.

The rules of nature apply to all animals, dogs are no exception. And the kindest thing you can do while raising a pet dog is teach them how to be part of the domesticated world we brought them into.

Rules. Boundaries. Consequences. And yes of course rewards for desired behavior. It’s all a balance.
