While you are relaxing after a holiday meal, please head over to FFFAH and check out the great items there. You can find eggies and Lotto sleep pods for your furkids and lots of unique items for yourself. This wonderful group supports the artist and a different shelter of the week during the two-week auctions. There is still a few more days to shop and bid for Support Our Shelters (SOS) and there is a free prize giveaway that anyone in the group can enter to win. It's easy to join the group and browse.
Thank you to the group for hosting SOS and special thanks goes out to our donors and our loyal regular donors, Sandy, Michaela, Erica, and to Mark Sonders for his contributions to the Blizzard Memorial Fund. We couldn't help shelter ferrets without you!

There are still shelter ferrets on the 2024 Giving Tree looking for Santas. SOS will continue to send food and treats to the shelters listed there but if anyone can send bedding or toys to make the holidays happy for these little companions who are still looking for their own loving home it is appreciated, and it could be the last Christmas for some of them.
If you would like to help us, you can visit the SOS website and use the PayPal donate button there since there some issue with the donate button on FB. If you have a certain shelter you want to help, please make a note and remember your donations to Support Our Shelters are tax deductible as allowed by law. Thanks for helping shelters ferrets!

Support Our Shelters is pleased to have donated 100 Melatonin Implants to SOS shelters to help those little ones who suffer from Adrenal Disease. It's thanks to our supporters that we are able to do this. If you are thinking about year end tax planning, please consider donating to SOS or one of the other great ferret causes. If your favorite shelter doesn't have their own 501c3 you can donate through SOS and we will provide them with food, vaccines, Melatonin Implants or vet bill help and you will receive a donation receipt for tax purposes. Donations to SOS are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Because of you our supporters, SOS' Blizzard Memorial Fund has been able to help on the cost of veterinarian care for Didacus at Ferret Dreams Rescue. The Blizzard Memorial Fund was founded to help little ones like Didacus who have been a victim of neglect and abuse. Little Didacus was abandoned in the snow and unable to walk. Special thanks to our donors, to Ferret Dreams Rescue and all ferret rescue shelters who are there to help and give their all for these special little companions.

Support Our Shelters' Blizzard Memorial Fund with the help of our donors is pleased to send funds to help cover veterinarian cost for two little gals who were neglected and then dumped. Rose at RFRL and Ruby at Sarasota County Ferret Rescue were able to receive the care they needed with help from you our donors. The Blizzard Memorial Fund was founded to help severely neglected and abused ferrets receive care so they could go on to live a happy life.

The 2024 Ferret Giving Tree is open now for shelters to get shelter kids on the tree. Santas can start getting ready to pick shelter kids from the tree. Thanks to the Santas who send gifts and to Melanee for running the tree, together we all can make a difference to shelter ferrets.

Shelter Registration is open from October 15, 2024 to November 30, 2024.
Ferrets will be posted on the tree between October 15, 2024 and December 15, 2024.
Santas can start picking from the tree on November 1, 2024.

I'm still trying to find the right words and a way to honor and do justice to the memory of Judith White, our founder, but hopefully those of you who have been helped by SOS know what a huge difference and impact Judith made by founding this group and know that countless shelter ferrets have been helped through it. So, it is with great sadness that I must let you know that Judith suddenly passed away.
Some of you who were on the Ferret Mailing List in the early days will remember Judith volunteered to head up a group to help raise funds for shelter ferrets in need. She was the driving force behind Support Our Shelters, and I hope she will be remembered for the kind giving person she was and for all she did for shelter ferrets and for the difference she made to them and the shelter operators who give their all for them.

If you like, please pick a ferret shelter and do something nice for them today in honor of Judith White.
