Nobody is going to stand up at your funeral and say you had nice clothes.
Nobody is going to praise you for how much money you made.
People won’t talk about your job title or your 401k.
Your adult children aren’t going to be excited to bring their family home for Christmas because you looked good in a bathing suite.
Your grandkids aren’t going to remember you for the house you lived in or the vacations you took in retirement.
At the end of our lives we all have to face the fact that it is our character, the time, the things we teach, and the memories we create that will be talked about in either a positive or negative light for future generations. Your children and their children will either be trying to emulate you or recover from you.
Every day we get to choose who we want to be for those we love. Choose wisely.
