We've written three books to help kids understand nature and its complexities. We also do presentations at schools, libraries, book fairs and book stores. These interactive presentations teach kinds to love reading, writing and be amazed by nature. Our Face Book page is designed to inform people about our upcoming events, share our experiences and provide opportunties to hire us for various occasions.

A fine review from someone who knows books: "I love your humor, and I learned about creatures I never even knew existed much less their unique characteristics. Wish I had a gobie to clean me and my house (I realize it's not alive). I wonder if some people don't communicate by farting even without realizing what their message is. I'm impressed with the lightning whelk's ability to turn its prey into liquid. If I could do this, I'm sure I'd spit out most guts.
As to your writing: it's clear, lively, and full of fun alliterations. It goes without saying that you and you co-writer have done a great job researching your choice of remarkable creatures".
-Dorothy K, retired high school and adult English teacher.

In our 4th book Nature's Yucky! in the Sea has a section on plastics in the environment. We talk about balloons and how very harmful they can be for wildlife. On July 1, 2024, a Florida law went into effect to prohibit the intentional release of balloons. This is a BIG help to all marine life, particularly sea turtles, sea birds, and manatees who swallow the plastic or get entangled in the strings. Let's hope that Floridians know about and follow the new law.

This is Carol N., a volunteer with the National Park. During a long conversation, she mentioned that her English professor brother has written 8 mystery books taken place in RMNP. I replied that I have written children's books and was thrilled to see it on sale in the Park. "Which book?", she asked. "Nature's Yucky". She answers, "I know that book, I took it to Africa." ?!?! Turns out that during the off season, she goes to Namibia to teach English to deaf children. Her husband assists remote villages to dig shallow wells, for fresh and clean water. Neat couple!

As you learn in Nature's Yucky! in the Sea, balloons (especially filled with helium) are bad for the environment. Karen says they ARE ok if you wear them on your head to celebrate your 70th birthday!
P.S. This is a swan.
