HEADS UP...its Corn on the Cob season! They can be DEADLY to dogs if they swallow them,,,, even just a piece of a cob .... can cause blockages.... BE SURE to throw them away correctly so dogs do NOT get them... thanks

DID YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD NOT POUR COLD WATER ON AN OVERHEATED DOG OR PUT A WET TOWEL ON THEIR BACK ‼️
HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD DO…

Animal lovers, never make the mistake of throwing cold water on an overheated dog or putting a wet towel on his back. You will see the opposite effect.

Due to the cold, the veins contract and due to the high temperature (above 42 degrees), the proteins in the blood clot, which makes the blood thick and viscous.
Due to the combination of the two, the heart can no longer get the blood and the organs fail one by one due to lack of oxygen.

The result is a very slow but very painful death.
If you try to help an overheated dog in this way, he will still die.

First give lukewarm water to drink, then cool the soles of the feet and chest/lower abdomen with a damp towel.
Then put the dog in the shade on a damp towel!!

Sharing is highly desirable because again and again we see images of overheated dogs getting out of a car with water poured on their backs ❎

Lola is such a wonderful dog! She is always busy on the farm! You will find her hunting with her best friend Lucy, laying the sun taking in the rays or lounging on the patio watching all the cars. She likes to play in the sandbox with the kids and enjoys playing fetch. Lola has the best personality! We are so lucky to have her in our lives!!

Hi Julie,
This year flew by. I lost my dad and just very recently lost my little beagle Macy, she was 12, and had a large tumor in her stomach. It's been very hard on us all, but Finley just seems very lost and I don't know how to help her... So, I've been just trying to give her extra loves and kisses. She has this funny thing (she couldn't get enough of) with the squirrel outside, so I've been opening the blinds early for her. They are such emotional dogs as you know. Giving her toys to carry and snuggle with have helped too. I hope you are doing well. I wish her little mates Happy Birthday as well!
