“Your pet can't talk, so we must look!” Why? Us humans can moan, groan, and point at the earliest signs of a medical problem, but not so much with animals. Regular exams to discover subtle & early signs of disease provides an opportunity for early detection. Too often disease is well advanced before its perceptible.
Here at Creekside Veterinary Clinic, we strongly advise a complete physical exam by a qualified veterinarian at least once a year for the young and active; with the less fit or senior pets 1-2 times a year. Prevention is generally more effective and less expensive in the long run. We strongly believe in prevention being better than a cure!

Her main interests outside of work are being outside, hunting, and spending time with family and friends!

She can’t pick just one funniest moment- Says that everyday something crazy funny happens! Yep, that definitely sounds like VET MED!:)

Her favorite thing about being an assistant is seeing really sick animals get better and get to reunite with their families.

Payton~ Thank you, thank you for being a part of the CVC team, you hard work is greatly appreciated, and we have enjoyed seeing you grow in your important role here at CVC!

Vet Tech and Assistant Week Spotlight:
Meet Sarah! Everyone welcome Sarah G, she is our newest addition to the CVC team as an assistant! Sarah, her husband, and 3-year-old border collie/aussie mix name Sage recently moved from Nebraska, but originally from Delaware.
Outside of work she enjoys going on walks with her dog and husband, seeing her family in Delaware and going to the beach, traveling to new places, and thrift shopping.
Her funny moment is when she was restraining a large dog that shook her off him while trying to do an ear cleaning and the dog ended up shaking all his ear cleaner all over her face!
Her favorite part of being an assistant is knowing that she is making a positive difference in at least one pets life each day!
Sarah~ We are so glad that you have joined our CVC team, we already see you making such a difference in our patients lives, they are so lucky to have such a caring and kind assistant to take care of them!

Vet Tech and Assistant Week Spotlight:
Meet Carolyn! Caroyln is almost an OG she just didn’t start with us on day one, but she is our longest assistant team member, so she is an OG in her own way!
Her Interests outside of work are playing volleyball and softball. Spending time with her kids at the park or teaching them new skills. Her fur babies also keep her busy as she has 3 dogs: Remi, Blue, Zeus and a cat named Tex.
A funny story Carolyn had was while restraining a dog for a microchip she had to inform the technician that the needle of the microchip was near my hand not in the dogs skin!
Her favorite part about being an assistant is when a critically ill patient progressively gets better and goes home healthy.
Carolyn~ Your sassy personality keeps us on our toes every day and brings us a lot of laughter! You are such a hard worker and great team member, thank you for your dedication to our patients and to CVC!

Meet Rachael! Rachael is one of our OG’s starting with CVC on day one as a Certified Veterinary Technician! When outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her plants and reading.

She loves sharing dad jokes with all her team members and either getting an eye roll or a laugh.

She has 2 dogs, June and Teddy and 4 cats- Squito, Biscuit, Alice & Leo and 1 horse, Beau, and as of recently potentially a groundhog.

Her favorite part of her job is being able to nurse and care for animals so that they feel better and can resume their life with their family.

Vet Tech and Assistant Week Spotlight:
Meet Emily! Emily started with CVC as an assistant back in April after moving to Mitchell with her husband and precious pets Scottie, Piper, and Loki from Kansas (originally from Nebraska). Last month Emily moved from an assistant role to a technician role! Her favorite part of being part of the medical team is when we do c-sections and she gets to help catch babies and welcome them into the world, and then being able to see them grow when they come back for their wellness checkups before going to new homes.
Outside of work she loves being outside, going for walks with Scottie, kayaking, and cheering for Nebraska football and volleyball!
Funniest moments are when she gets the opportunity to sneak up behind coworkers who don’t enjoy certain species like rodents or bats and scare them!
Emily~ You have been a perfect fit with our CVC team since day one. Your kindness and compassion for all animals is so beautiful, you will do great things with your new role as a technician. Thank you for all you do!

Vet Tech and Assistant Week Spotlight:
Meet Montana! Montana is a recent graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar Minnesota’s Veterinary Technician program. She did her internship with us, and about halfway through we asked her to stay as a full-time technician.

Her special interests are spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and riding her horse. So far, her funniest moment at CVC is when she was on surgery with Carolyn and she was tattooing the TNR cats, somehow, she managed to get the green ink all over her arms, hands, and face, when she wasn’t the one who was dealing with the ink!

She has two horses named Moonshine and Tito, a dog named Tequila, and a cat named Rue. Her favorite part about being a tech is being able to help the sick animals that come in and being able to watch them heal and get better!

Montana~ Your calm presence is a true gift to not only your patients but to all your team members here, we cannot wait to watch you grow your career with us! Thank you for your important role in caring for and treating our patients, we are lucky to have you!
