Unfortunately the heat waves have taken a toll on the newborns and throughout the past 10 days, we’ve lost all 11 babies. It’s a pity that it happened, but maybe a blessing in disguise as we’ll be moving in 3 days.

Our herd of 8 rabbits (3 bucks and 5 does) has also dropped. Between extreme weather changes and rehoming, we are now down to 5 adults (1 buck and 4 does). Hopefully now we can start to focus on improving our weaknesses. After all, these rabbits are heat tolerant for a reason and we have to keep it that way!

Here’s to better weather and better outcomes for future litters! 🥂 🤞

If I remember, I’ll post pictures of our rabbit move as well as their new location (and new neighbors! 😉). Have a good day!
