As a recap for the year 2024 we totaled all of the numbers for the amount of spay and neuter surgeries that we did for rescues, shelters, and our clients! The total is the result of lots of hard work by our staff! While we are not a spay and neuter clinic, we take pride in what we have been able to do not only for our clients but also our community! Spaying and neutering your pets is not only responsible pet ownership, is better for their overall health, but also helps by decreasing the amount of strays in our community!

THANK YOU!! To all who donated the numerous items we can't thank you enough! Because of your generosity and kindness we were able to help The City of Mobile Animal Services with much needed items like dish soap, dog bowls, dog food and treats, towels and blankets, kennels, and paper towels. Many of these items are a necessity and are used on a daily basis. Thank you, TCVH family 💙

Go meet Buttercup!! We think she’ll make the perfect new family member for you 🐶🐾

ADOPTED!!

Meet Buttercup!! This sweet girl was dropped at our vet by a Good Samaritan who had found her injured. She had a growth plate injury to her front paw the awesome Dr. Mims at Tillmans Corner Vet Hospital fixed her up and one of his amazing staff members is now fostering her for us. Buttercup is a 4 month old bulky mix. She will be a medium sized adult we believe. She has healed beautifully from her injury. She’s doing great with training for her age and is great with all people and animals. She will be completing her vetting soon and will be adoption ready. Get your apps in now on this pretty girl.

Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained.

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!

It's officially Christmas!!🎄✨ We are now accepting donations for The City of Mobile Animal Services. This fundraiser was a huge success last year and we hope to go above and beyond this year! The city shelter works hard year round to rescue and re-home stray animals all over our city, now is a chance for you to give back as a "Thank You" for all they do.
