So I was in the process of leaving...my car was literally running and I ran back in, as I had forgotten to mist the kids. I did the first two and got to Sofia and saw she was asleep on her ledge right by the door. Not wanting to wake her, I carefully took off the door, held up her enclosure and tilted it so I could mist away from her.
Well, she wakes up, sees her door off and and is all, "Oh! Time to wake up! I come out now!" And proceeds to climb over to the opening of her enclosure. I'm like, "oh NOW you want to come out! When I'm actually LEAVING!!!"
So, I put my hand up on the side of the opening to stop her from climbing out and she looks up at me all sad! And I am POSITIVE I can hear her little voice, "You not want I can come out? OK. I stay in. (Looking back up at me again, making sure I'm seeing her sadness) You go. I stay here."

Yah. I'm definitely gonna have to see if she still wants to come out tomorrow. You just watch. I'm gonna get snubbed.

Poppy is judging me. I had to clean up some p**p which took out a clump of webbing on one of her ledges. So, she comes to the front of her enclosure and spider glares at me. 🤷‍♀️

So, I really need to clear up some space so I can create some new enclosures. Every day or so, I'll add another one at a sale price. Some will be marked down more than others, as it costs me more to make some than others.

So, we were on vacation for 10 days and I left my spiders with my husband's co-worker. She said my Poppy (my most active...

So, we were on vacation for 10 days and I left my spiders with my husband's co-worker. She said my Poppy (my most active spood) pretty much stayed in her hide the whole time. And Sofia, who had recently molted and had not wanted to eat, yet, would not eat the whole time we were gone. (She is my biggest eater and would pretty much eat ALL the time if I let her) And my boy, Aragog, never ventured out of hiding, as well.
I got them home --late at night--and first thing in the a.m. I of course sat down at the table to visit them. ALL THREE OF THEM came out and seemed so happy to back! Poppy came to the front of her enclosure and started watching me as usual and I offered Sofia a mealworm and she jumped on that thing! You can't tell me they don't 'know' us. My guys were SO happy to be back home!
