❤️❤️❤️ADOPTION PENDING❤️❤️❤️
We need you to hear us—really hear us. We are drowning.
Our shelter is at capacity. There’s a waiting list of people needing to surrender and every day brings more calls from owners who can’t keep their pets. Adoptions are slow. Shelters are full. Fosters are almost nonexistent. Some animals are adopted and then returned. It feels like we’re losing a battle we can’t afford to lose.
We show up every day—365 days a year—for 8 to 9 hours, often more. There are no real days off, no quiet evenings where we can set the worry down. We go home, hold our own pets, and cry. We replay the moments we had to say, “I’m sorry… we don’t have a kennel,” and it eats us alive. We hold dogs that shake with terror after being abandoned. We watch owner surrenders shut down or turn reactive because their world just ended and they don’t understand why. Then we wipe our faces, set the alarm, and do it again tomorrow.
And for what? Not for praise. Most days we’re not met with thank-yous. We’re met with yelling, cussing, threats—belittled because we couldn’t take your dog or cat. We know you’re hurting too. But we need you to know that we are breaking.
Please, be patient with us. Be kind. Be respectful. Until you’ve walked in these shoes, you can’t know how mentally and emotionally draining this work is.
We are desperate—for adopters, for fosters. We are desperate for people to open their eyes and see how overwhelmed animal care is right now. Please spay and neuter your pets. Please keep them safely secured. Please understand that if your call or message goes unanswered, it’s not because we don’t care—it’s because we’re feeding, cleaning, and medicating the roughy 100 animals already in our care. We are doing everything we can, but there isn’t enough time or space to say “yes” to everyone.
To those who stand with us—who adopt, foster, donate, share, and speak kindly—we love you. We mean that from the bottom of our hearts. We are exhausted, but your support is the reason we can keep going, even when it feels like the fight is slipping through our fingers.
This is Cinnamon, she is at least 12 years, neglected and had to be removed from her home as she was not properly being cared for in her senior years-just when she needs it most.
We ask you to choose us on this 🙏
We respectfully recognize there are lots of needy places asking for your support today, please know our our residents rely strictly on your help. The pets who reside here can't help themselves and are completely reliant on your donations.🐶😻
Cinnamon is one of many that we see time, after time, after time, day, after day, after day and we are trying desperately to keep up.
Thanks for reading and donating.💖
