We don't have Snoop Dogg but we have The Scoop D-O-DOUBLE G! Meet Scoop! He is a Jack Russell/ Fox Terrier mix. Scoop is currently in a foster with other dogs of all sizes and cats! His favorite past times include napping on the car while on trips, snuggling under cozy blankets, wearing sweaters and watching TV. He loves his toys and play time! Don't let his little body fool you, he has lots of love to give ❤️❤️. Scoop is about one year old and would love to be your new little best buddy!

We're shocked and outraged to hear about the tragic case of 3 year old Mylah, a beloved pet who lost her life in a horrific act of violence at the hands of her owner's boyfriend.

Mylah deserved love, care and compassion-not cruelty and brutality. We're calling for swift and appropriate punishment for her violent offender who lacks humanity.

Let's come together to demand justice for Mylah and raise awareness about animal cruelty encouraging proper punishment for this monstrous act.

Steep in peace beautiful.💞 Only cowards hurt the helpless. 🥺

There’s a new sheriff of HCHS in town, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. 🌟

This guy's got a resume: expert snuggler, master belly rubber and professional couch potato. He's been practicing his "who, me?" face - it's a work in progress 🤣.

Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane has been dealing with some abandonment issues and has a second chance at a beautiful life!
He owes it all to observant neighbors. He was left behind when his “family”😏 moved and these spectacular people took him in gifting him vet care and got him all fixed up for forever.🥰

The sheriff is only a year old and good with everything.
Please remember, as shelters are full and adoptions are down leaving little to no space for intakes that you 🫵 are someone, just like Roscoe’s angels. 😇

Pack up your toys Sheriff! Your family is coming!🧳

On December 12, Ricky will have been in and out of our shelter for FIVE years. 🎅💔

This sweet boy has spent almost his entire life waiting for someone to choose him—and we’re hoping this Christmas will finally be the one where his forever family finds him.

At 6 years old, Ricky is the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. He just needs the right person to see how special he truly is.

• A charming Treeing Walker Coonhound with tons of personality
• Loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy a compatible canine buddy under the tree
• A big fan of outdoor adventures, winter sniffs, and exploring
• Affectionate with his people and eager to bond
• Neutered, healthy, and ready to meet the right family

⚠️ Important Needs:
• Has shown resource guarding, so he needs an adopter comfortable managing this with structure and awareness
• No cats — they’re far too exciting for him
• Kids 15+ to ensure a calm, predictable environment

Ricky is a wonderful dog who has waited far too long. He deserves a safe, loving home where he can finally unpack his bags for good. 🏡💛

Dog 8 of Christmas is spending his 2nd Christmas at Ayres. 🥺

He's spending his best years in a kennel - the ones that should be spent learning the joys of what life has to offer and exploring everything before his body says it no longer can.

Keanu has a zest for life an an undying love for adventure - even though he doesn't get to as much as he would like. Keanu is a big boy and does have a lot of energy- but he also has a lot of heart. He is a dog that would turn down a 5 star meal of meat for cuddles and pets. Belly rubs are literally life.

Keanu is good with some dogs - others he is a little too rough and tumble for. But we just know when this big goofball gets out of the shelter and truly settled into a home - he will be the best cuddle buddy, protector and bundle of joy that you didn't even know you needed in your life.

Our very own Ed View hosted a special Christmas party for all who are close to him and who he appreciates in his life.🎅🏼🎄

Surrounded by family and friends, food, song and dance-Ed’s celebration gathered over $600 in donations for our charity!

Special thanks to the The Happy Haggs Dance Troupe of Central NY for their very generous donation and their attendance for the great dance party they put on!💃🏼🪩

3 year old Prince is polite, loves to ride in the car, good with kids cats & dogs and is housebroken.🥰

He is regal and waiting patiently like an absolute gentleman for forever.😌

Peeps! We have this cute little boo looking for forever.🥰

Coco’s owner passed away and he was alone for about 8 days!😱 The whispers were telling a story that when his owner was removed, that Coco was left behind because the neighbors reported he bites.🙁
Coco had a hero come for him thankfully, that’s when we read his story and had to lend our support to Coco and his angel who rescued him.🥰.

Turns out just as we thought…he was just scared, and still is. 😢 But he is a L❤️VER❗️
It takes him a minute but he curls up on your lap in no time and smothers you in kisses.😘 We kiss him back, his expression tells us he’s never been kissed before 🥺 but he accepts all the smushes we give.💓

We are not aware of any recorded bites and no bites here! He shakes, uncontrollably 🥺 and we don’t blame him! Missing his owner, new faces, new places…Patience is all he needs and only about 5 minutes and he melts.

Coco is a Corgi/Heeler mix, 2 years old, 23 lbs and good with cats & dogs. He is shy at first but , once he trusts you, he will be inseparable and extremely affectionate.
