This is Blanche. She is 10 years old and has not had a great life. You see, she lived in a cage. Never got to be a dog. She is fine with other dogs and cats. Kids will scare her. She does require a fenced in yard. She is shy at first but warms up. She doesn’t know affection but is willing to learn. She will follow you around and allow you to pick her up. She is just learning to be a dog. She doesn’t know what toys are but she is willing to learn. She was once afraid of grass but now enjoys it.

We really don’t know exactly her age but she carries herself like she has been through and seen a lot. She was pulled off a euthanasia list to come to RVAR in hopes of getting her second chance at a loving
home.
She doesn’t do any crazy tricks or feel the need to run around the room like the younger ones but what she does have to offer is friendship.
She loves to be in our company and thinks she is good at office work. Talking to her and giving her a gentle hand is most comforting to her.
She likes her surroundings to be calm and gentle. Little children don’t impress her so she often excuses herself and finds a different spot to hang out.
If you are looking for someone to give you companionship without acting a fool, please consider giving Etta a place to finally call home. She desperately wants it.

He is 13 years old, FRONT DECLAWED and tied of petting himself on all this wood.
In the shelter he is good at minding his own business and staying away from all the shenanigans.
He has spent 2 weeks on these shelves, in his safety crate hoping someone will just take him away.
This is his reaction when he thinks you are going to come pet him. Just talking to him makes him believe it’s his time to shine and he just lights up with joy.
We would make the greatest companion for anyone that wanted to just LOVE on a furry friend all day. He is kind, gentle and non aggressive to anyone around him.
He promises he will not require much, maybe just a warm lap, or a fluffy blanket to curl up on.
